It's pretty good here in Klosters. Klosters is also easily accessible from Zurich by train and car.

Thanks, Klostersgirl. I heard the big resorts were pretty good but was hoping for something a bit nearer, say an hours drive.......

Re: Decent sledging conditions near Zürich

Having driven to Zurich on Monday, and back to Ticino today, it is clear that there is no snow below 1500m anywhere.

When the snow does finally fall, have a look on the Uetliberg.

There is plenty in and around Crans Montana unfortunately! I don't need snow to keep me happy - au contraire, au contraire!

I think Flumserberg has their sledge trails open.

When there is snow then here is the place

But it can get like a Formula 1 track when there are alot of " racers ". Its advised to bring a medical kit with you

The zvv is advertising Atzmännig Goldingen, (with 1.9 km sledging), and how to get there by public transport :

Re: Decent sledging conditions near Zürich

Unterägeri? Decent? There is not even snow on the Raten/Gotschalkenberg.

Fischenthal willl be even greener. No snow all the way up to the Hörnli.

Here some place where you can actualy sled:
Kerenzerberg. Only half of the 7 km https://www.kerenzerbergbahn.ch/ausf...el-1/index.php

Spirigen/Urnerboden 8km http://www.urnerboden.ch/

Flumserberg 3km https://www.flumserberg.ch/Winter/Ak...ten/Schlitteln

Braunwald, two slopes 3 km and 3.5 km https://www.braunwald.ch/Wintersportbericht

Klewenalp-Stockhütte, only partially open ~4 km out of 9 km http://www.infosnow.ch/~apgmontagne/...ison=1&lang=de
