The ski lifts of the Aosta valley will be closing as of Monday, March 9 and until further notice! The ski touring season started a bit early!

Local drogueries & pharmacies, but expensive : around 12.- for 150ml!

Little bit difficult to enforce when you have borders with 9 countries and only one of which has customs checks.

Not saying that anyone would cheat but, ...
They know what company's have them on large scale and could simply demand bookkeeping to trace inventory. Keeping something out of the books completely is much easier than make it disappear once in, and there has been no reason to keep stock out of the bookkeeping up to now, and new supply well.. there is hardly any.

And where money is to be made some people will cheat, that is just how humans are.

Also something very typical, by the time the last football matches of this weekend are almost finished in the major competitions countries like Germany and Spain are suddenly talking out loud about forbidding events with more than 1.000 people...

Someone mentioned earlier on this thread that Apotheke Stadelhofen was doing their own at least 1-2 weeks ago but unsure if they still have it as demand was/is massive.

Would be great if people could list any pharmacy that is producing their own and/or other places they seen large quantities available as otherwise believe only solution would be either to do it yourself (not difficult but does require time and effort) or funnily enough, order from china or wait for more stock to arrive to Switzerland.

Aliexpress has even all different types of masks available while there is of course no guarantees about quality.

Soap and water is much better than ‘disinfectant’. Migros will sell you a small plastic case for your soap bar. Take it with you.

And remember;

Re: Coronavirus

Italy's daily numbers are out and it only is getting worse over there.

133 new deaths (Total 366), 1.492 newly positively diagnosed (total 7.375)

France and Germany past the 1.000 diagnosed infected.

Re: Coronavirus

133 more deaths in Italy.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

With the updated numbers, death rate is going up to ~5% (366 deaths / 7375 infected = 4.96%)

It's much higher than WHO expectations. And the failure in Italian medical system will bring it up even more.

No more death rates please. Or do you know how many infected people have not been tested due to minor symptoms?

Also Italy has the 2nd oldest population on earth, so they are to be expected to have a high death rate. And it also explains why so many of them are in hospitals (3.500 demanding treatment currently of which 650 serious/critical)

What do you mean by no more death rates? It is one of the most important statistics published in WHO reports, and policies are made based on it.

Talk to the people who make decisions, not me.

Just saying death/diagnosed*100 = death rate is to simplistic, especially without looking at the local demographics and circumstances and I explained several times in this topic why.

Of course you can have your own idea of a correct calculation. And I, WHO, Swiss media, researchers & universities have our own ideas as well. If you disagree, you can simply give your answer, instead of asking me to stop my thoughts.

I provide the statistics with the most common formula, purely for EFers' reference.

Same with Piemonte.

Nationwide are only museums and such.

Re: Coronavirus

whatever calculation you are offering, be precise about how you arrive at it/your source with the method used.

I tend to believe it’s too early to obtain a death rate simply because we have inadequate estimates of the number of people infected with the virus.

Re: Coronavirus

Riots in prisons in Modena, Naples, Salerno and Frosinone.

Main reason would be the limitations on getting/handling visitors due to the new rules.
