However, too much booze will cause depression sadly. You have to have "balance" | | | | | Indeed, beer and wine are fun and help. But I've felt sometimes sad out of nothing, I quit drinking for a week and the mood improves. Even though, I limit myself to the weekends. With home-office, it's my way to tell me I left the office on Friday, because I keep looking at the screens, they're still there | This user would like to thank Axa for this useful post:

ICU occupation from covid19 patients have reduced from a bit below 50% to 20% and falling. People that was put on hold for medical attention is now being treated. On the not so good side, there's still a long way to get to the situation of September 2020. Hope medical workers can catch a break this summer. | This user would like to thank Axa for this useful post:

| | Re: Coronavirus | Quote: | | | | | Why would he test positive for Covid when they are NOT live vaccines i.e. you cannot directly catch Covid from the vaccine merely trigger an immune response?
Side effects could be a bit of a temperature, sore arm etc. not anything remotely worrying or indeed 'scary'.
I do love people's lack of basic understanding when alarmed about vaccines. | | | | | The PCR test at least (not sure about any others) does not test for the whole virus, rather for certain RNA fragments. Like is that those fragments are also the bits being used by the vaccines to generate immunity.
Although having said that I cannot imagine that the vaccine RNA would make it to the area being sampled for the PCR test.

We had a call today asking if our son would be available to get his vaccine tomorrow as some slots had become available.
As luck would have it he doesn’t have any uni classes on Thursday afternoon so he is happy to go along.
He is in the second group as someone who shares a household with vulnerable people and the GP had passed on his details to the cantonal vaccination organisers.
We realise that we are very fortunate indeed given the current vaccine situation in Switzerland.

Klostersgirl posted about people skipping their appointments ... at this rate, I think we should pass over those people and let the people desperately waiting in line in.

The common sense lightbulb should be flashing ... but evidently isn't.

All the 70 plus and vulnerable who want it have already been vaccinated or have appointments for vaccination here so they’re taking people from the second group now and they only have details for the ones put forward by the GP. There is no waiting list for over 65s here, they can only register on the site for an appointment once vaccine doses have been delivered to the canton.
Personally I think the vaccination programme should have been organised at a federal level, the differences between the various cantons is enormous.

Federalism means that each canton is responsible for their own stuff.

They clearly don’t appear to have the know how to organise something on that scale.

If they have a spare dose to be used asap they call people from this list.
