21 out of 650.000. Whose average age was 85 years.

I love how you selectively present your information. From the article, if you actually read it (I'm guessing you didn't get further than the title):

-------------------------------

A total of 21 people died at various intervals after receiving the vaccine. However, their average age was 85 and the majority had pre-existing conditions.

“As far as is known at present, death was caused by conditions such as infections, cardiovascular events or diseases of the lungs and airways that occurred independently of the vaccination. Despite a chronological correlation, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that the vaccination was the cause of death,” said an official statement.

-------------------------------

That would sum up 98% of people who die from COVID too, if you're that vulnerable you may not survive the vaccine.

2 criteria out of 4 are fulfilled today (positivity rate <5% in addition to the ICU load). The federal council will inform at 14:30.

Almost correct. Of all Covid deaths in Switzerland, 72% were above 80 years old.

Exactly, which is what makes drug trials so complicated. Most drugs are tested on people who could die because of their conditions anyway ... it is difficult to determine if the death was because of the drug, or because of the condition they had that demands the drug to be made in the first place.

My FIL is convinced that he will have a stroke if he receives injections for his wet MD because years ago, people were found to have strokes while receiving them. Never mind that they were elderly, and the eye condition alone gives you a higher likelihood of stroke ... Studies eventually proved it wasn't because of the injections the strokes occurred, but you will never be able to convince him or other anti pharma/vaxxers. It is very frustrating...sure there have been bad drugs & vaccines put on the market, but the overwhelming amount of good they do should not be dismissed or speculated.

What did you expect? The situation isn't where they could make any changes right now. I think it is good that they warned the public of a potential third wave ... but who knows.

Re: Coronavirus

Did I understand correctly that Alain Berset said that he understands that it's difficult to do workout with masks in gyms so there should be probably exceptions if the physical distance is held? So, poor adults are suffering when doing sport in masks, thus they make exceptions for themselves? Someone should teach them about solidarity and thinking about others.
What a hypocrisy...

Yes, there are no plans to change anything and there haven't been. They will announce if there will be any changes on March 22nd on March 19th. So far, the numbers aren't where they need to be to ease measures and well, I don't see that changing with the way things are currently.

Just telling us what could happen if the situation allows it which based on current trends means nothing is going to happen on March 22nd.

All a bit pointless really but at least they can say they’re keeping us informed I guess.

Can they do that if there is a federal mandate? Honestly curious as to how it all works.
