Are you sure you need the second dose?
I am sure I don't, but it does not seem to work like that at the moment, far easier to go with the flow as I will need to travel shortly, hopefully it can wait till after 7th May.

I learn every day. GB has borders with India.

And what does <<India is not currently on the UK's 'red list' of travel destinations.>> mean? GB forbids it's people to go places?
I mean "sorry, foreigner, you can't come in witouth a valid covid test result" is one thing but "oi, my citicen, you can't go there" sounds like DDR?
Yes, the U.K. is exactly like the DDR. How clever of you.

I think you're over-reacting a tad. Weren't various parts of France described as "red zones" for Swiss citizens just recently?

Re: Coronavirus

Email from the gym (autotranslate) I guess something similar from other gyms:

Quote:
The wait is finally over!

At the meeting on April 14th, the Federal Council decided to open the fitness centers. From Monday, April 19th, we will be able to offer the overdue training in the ___ at the usual times.

There is a full mask requirement and a minimum distance of 1.5 meters. A maximum of 14 participants are allowed in the group rooms. Registration for the courses is carried out online as usual.

We have credited you for the entire period of 120 days (from December 20th, 2020 to April 18th, 2021), like last year. So you haven't missed a single day.

LOL, yeah, right, the British Empire. How could I forget.

I don't know about the red zones in France, nothing attracted me to go there lately. Are you saying the Swiss divided France in zones not to go to and zones which were okay? (Serious question). I thought that was the French themselves. And the Italians too. *

And yes, I forgot to put the sarcasm emoj again. Do strip me from the legend title and put me back on newbie first-class, that might teach me.

edit: *Yes they did or at least took over the red-zone sections those countries decided on themselves.

How dare the pharma companies make a profit from providing a life changing vaccine that will allow us to return to our lives.

The problem with big pharma is taxing the health system with cancer drugs that only extend a lifespan by 3-4 months and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Or insane drug price hikes in America just because they can ... and of course pushing opiates as harmless pain pills. Those sales rep free for all days are long gone ...

Pandemics are no doubt good for business, in the same way as disasters allow insurers to increase premiums. New upstarts such a Moderna seem to be doing OK with vaccines
Like everyone else their long term centre will be in CV and Onc.

Drugs to treat cancer are where the money is.

A steady, reliable, never-ending stream of patients willing to pay anything...
And diabetes. Research into the causes (because they still don’t know) and cures of T1 has ended except for a few universities. There is no incentive and a big disincentive. All their money is going into the treatment, not the cure, of T2.

... which demonstrates that the UK has a border with India because... the Indian Ocean belongs to India?

To be fair, this there are some deep political reasons to not closing the borders with India. Boris Johnson has a visit there planned in the near future where the kick off to trade talks is high on the agenda. If India go on the red list them that would likely postpone his trip.

The EU are also due to start trade talks with India, so any postponement to Mr Johnsonís trip would likely mean that the EU get to start their talks first. Sound daft? Well it is, but thatís where weíre at in the post Brexit kindergarten one-upmanship gaming.
