I had my second Moderna jab on Friday, 48 hours ago. I had the same reaction as to the first dose: slight swelling of the wrist and hand on the arm that was injected. And on Friday afternoon and all day yesterday, I made multiple trips to a builder's yard (in a gearless car!), then carted 3.5 tonnes of sand and gravel, three quarters of a tonne of pavers, and 1,500 litres of pine bark in a wheelbarrow. Each person has an individual response, I guess.
So you're saying () if we have unusual loads to carry, we should get the covid jab a day before in order to be able to do it.

Perhaps they should have placed a job vacancy ad here on EF.

But as I mentioned before, even in Switzerland, the first COVID vaccination was administered in December last year, and it was clear to everybody that a viable vaccine was in its way well before then. Here we are six months later and still no app.

I bet a decent developer could churn out a new casino app or the latest game craze in a couple of months, tops.

Correct. But as it's quite difficult to schedule a COVID vaccination to align with your projected unusual load-carrying day, it would be better to do it the other way around and organise unusual load carrying for the day after your scheduled COVID vaccination.

That's better than the timeline I was given (viz., ready by autumn) when I had my second Moderna vaccination, but still: why has it taken this long to get an app ready?!
- there was no agreement with EU for electronic version till recently ?
- there is only 13-15% population that would be eligible for it ?
- there is no (to my knowledge) - Swiss electronic version of any document so far and we be getting paper-ones so it be first-of-a-kind I guess

I believe your (ready by autumn) is both more realistic and more unacceptable.

I know you are being sarcastic here - but imho it is most probably a question of legislature and the fact that non-vaxed people cannot be discriminated against.

- We're talking about a Swiss app. Nothing to do with the EU.
- Yes. That's over a million people. And growing by the day. And it wasn't entirely unexpected...
- There are many Swiss documents available electronically. Think GAs, travel cards. There's also the Swiss ID SSO, which surely would be ideal for this purpose.

How would having an electronic vaccination certificate instead of a paper certificate be discriminatory against non-vaccinated people? Apart from the fact that non-vaccinated people can't have either version, of course.

Yes and no

There was this one for Swiss COVID-19 vaccination data but it was hacked and then stopped due to security concerns, they decided last Friday to continue trying to fix it but the outlook is not hopeful.

They claim to have stored our vaccination data safely but recent vaccinations could not be input so how they will update the data if they ever fix the app is not known.

are you agree to have covid passport app with the quality of online casino, created for 2 months?

If I'd architect such kind of app (which is not just an mobile app, but also backend with all its cons), the app itself would be lesser problem here

You can create a SwissID account in just a few minutes. To do this, you need access to your e-mail account and possibly also your mobile device. Once you have created an account you are logged in directly. You can then set up the other functions when you need them. The functions "Identification" and "Signature" are currently not available.
end of story
Swiss/Mobile ID support on state level is far behind same in Sweden f.ex.

I don’t see many benefits of an App. Completely riddled with pitfalls (is that a valid saying &#129322

Off the top of my head.

- Not all have smart phones
- Cross border agreement would never happen
- Easy to bypass if you wanted
- Large percentage of elderly don’t have smartphones
- Rogue apps would appear instantly

Re: Coronavirus

For anyone interested, Zurich has announced in the past 30 seconds that 120’000 vaccinations are now available for over 16 year olds. Take it or leave it:

- and how would you travel using your app if that is not recognised at any other border than Swiss->outside ?

- GA is NOT a document neither any other cards and perhaps you missed lasty voting where it didn't make it

- Swiss eID did NOT make it - https://www.ejpd.admin.ch/bgeid

Until you know something for real - please post the links - I be happy to learn more on electronic documents issued by Swiss government
