I thought it would be widely-enough known to not need explanation. Sorry to all the Dutch who were offended by it - that was not my intention. Is this where I say that some of my best friends are Dutch?

Nope, you need to tell you have one Dutch friend

I suspect after quoting that I'll never have any Dutch friends ever again

I'm actually not offended by it but let's pretend so that finally we can play the racism card

If I get the 19 now is there a cheap upgrade path to version 20?

They haven't released the full notes yet, I think the big thing with 20 is it's has a better international appeal.

I know church services have been suspended until mid-May by the churches themselves (protestant and Catholic).

(in French - sorry, but basically says what I have said)

Viral infections cannot be treated. The symptoms can.
Not strictly true. In fact not even loosely true these days. There is a growing number of antivirals that are targetted at specific viruses or groups thereof.

Not a problem here. They do not leave this thing uncovered, not even for a pee break. (It's actually pretty impressive/unusual).

As a counter-suggestion - don't waste your time, it's all complete nonsense.
And how, may I politely ask, would you know that? I.e., with what technical qualifications or personal experience? Just a hunch?

Precautions like banning flights from China early on, as in January. You know, the kind of measure that might have saved Italy this mess (to say nothing of our country of residence)? Being open borders at this stage is even more lunatic than in normal conditions.

........
Not much factual evidence that Trump closing borders with China actually achieved anything!

Currently, the infection rate in the US is 4.2 cases per million. Compare with neighboring countries that did not close borders, Canada 3.2, Mexico 0.1.

It's not clear. The Swiss office of public health recommended all cantons to follow the measures taken by TI. But no reply from cantons

Re: Coronavirus

Hey, no slur intended. I had been telling my< friends about this and only made the first (now moved) thread to pass on what has been working for me (my background is experimental physics and I live from various successful mass-mkt inventions, having earlier worked as an in-house consultant at a huge USA defense contractor at new or unusual problems which others could not solve ... so while taking my assessments as provisional -- I trust nothing, incl. myself -- my "track record" gives some weight to what might seem silly ideas).

Anyway, health issues are one's own responsibility, so with so-called "Enlightened Self-Interest" what I posted about some little-known research and my own decades-long experience using it (and other things, also proven, like putting caffein in cold meds, for ex.) might help any interested in trying some harmless things for their colds (not COVID-19, why I started a separate thread) ... the fewer sick out there and the more healthcare resources thus available, the lower my chances of having a terrible halth problem.

Peace
