I think I'll keep eating seeweeds, anyway. I will not stick them in my nose yet.

I think there must be different types of spit tests. When I had mine, the tech put two rather large cotton swabs under my tongue and waited 30 seconds. Then he swabbed around a bit before breaking each one into a separate tube. I had heard from friends that they had to spit into a tube, but none said they had to swish anything in the mouth. If anything, it was hard to generate enough saliva.
The Zurich airport test centre for PCR (with the 5 hour results) used to be that you had to generate a few ml of saliva and it took a few minutes (for me anyway) to get enough saliva as you're not allowed to drink for 30 mins before.

Now they've changed it to you being given a small vial of saline which you swill around your mouth for 15-20 seconds and spit into the tube. The new version works much better and also avoids longer queues at the test centre.

How is it exactly called (or just simply ask for an antibody test)? I'm planning to have a test after my second shot.
I had the Roche test which measured the anti-NCP antibodies (showing natural immunity) and the anti-spike antibodies (showing vaccine immmunity). I just asked for the antibody test and thatís the one they did.

Where I work (university), we have weekly spit PCR tests. We spit directly into the tube, and then add the virus transport medium into the tube, close it and quickly mix it. You are not allowed to eat or drink anything 1 hour beforehand. You hand in the tube to a climate controlled box and it is tested later in the day as part of a pool of samples. A positive report on the pool then requires individual testing.

At the high of the pandemic many PCR tests were pooled, due to capacity there was no other choice & approved by the WHA.

finally someone reveals the truth. The vaccines are indeed only for emergency use but Covid is only a pandemic, so no reason to take it at all! I feel sorry for the people that will turn into magnetic 5G zombies though.

Actually! From what I've heard, one gets turned into a liberal.

Just got called by the contact tracing people - I think about my flight to/from Spain.

Asked to supply my vaccination certificate - is this just to check im not breaking any quarantine rules or is there likely to be a positive case onboard?

A friend of mine got contacted on 6th April and was told to quarantine until 6th April ... seems there could be something of a backlog.

Poll on SRF on vaccinations. Not only by party affiliation, but also by profession.

https://www.srf.ch/news/schweiz/8-co...fer-impfgraben

The underlying assumption is that respondents don't lie. Or lie to the same degree, and where that's the case it doesn't falsify the result. That assumption is on shaky ground. For instance, if asked whether Trump lawfully lost there's no way I'd reply Yes, and I'm sure a good many acquaintances would do likewise.

Tagesanzeiger conduct a continuous poll (paywall, see there Covid page) where they keep enquiring about the willingness to vaccinate. There, the "never" plus "not sure" make up 21.4% at the moment. Well, with 30% voter share the SVP's "never" plus "not sure" in your quoted poll together make up almost the entire 22% in Tagesanzeiger's poll.

Add in the other parties and you get a massiv contradiction.

So what is your point? That in your example of the Trump poll, you would have lied?

I don't know the Tagi poll so cannot say much to this point. The latest national SVP share of the vote was 25%.

Yup, and that I'm probably part of a large group. Hence unreliable poll results.

Details. Check the other parties, their average is around 20%. Whether you add 10% (1/4 of 40%) or 13% (30% of 40%) due to the SVP surplus makes no qualitative change (40% is the SVP's 60% minus the general 20%, i.e. the SVP's surplus).

It doesn't matter as such which is right, SRF or Tagesanzeiger, so you don't need to know Tagesanzeiger's. The point is that at least one must be wrong, despite both having massive credibility.
