The problem with that comparison is that for June 2.5-3mln doses were planned for (and presumably delivered) whereas for Juli it's only 1.4mln. Without hoarding, that inevitably must lead to a slowdown by ~50%.
There is not problem with supply, the problem is with demand. Everybody who still wants to be vaccinated can arrange it on the same day.

Canton Zurich gradually closes it's vaccination centers or converts them to test center because of lack of demand.

Canton Zurich has announced will close six centers before the end of August.

This is nonsense. Everybody breaks the law at some point. Most of us just don't get caught. In fact there are so many laws that we may well be breaking some without knowing it.

How about the right of bodily integrity.

Just as nobody can tattoo you against your, will, nobody can stick needles in you against your will.

If you attach the mask by sticking needles into your face you may have a point.

Those of us who are not called Marton prefer to use the elastic strap.

Look at the UK, with something like 80% having some form of anti-bodies from the vaccine and many more with natural immunity, do you not think it’s a little strange they’re approaching 50k daily reported cases? Surly there should be some sort of herd effect on display by now if the vaccine was effective as has been reported at preventing transmission?

I took the vaccine because I saw it as the only way out of lockdown restrictions and it was part of “doing my bit” to achieve this goal. Secondary was for personal international travel. I’ve not yet regretted getting the vaccine, but it has often crossed my mind whether it was the correct choice to make.
80% isn't herd immunity when R is greater than 5. I've seen figures around 7 or 8 suggested for delta.

If the vaccine is on average 90% effective 97% coverage (7/8 divided by 0.9) would appear to be required if R is naturally 8. It's probably rather more complicated than that in reality.

Even if it is going to be very challenging to get to herd immunity with vaccination alone getting almost there and letting it rip is pretty much good enough - compared to the disaster it'd be if we had no vaccine.

Here in Switzerland that is not breaking the law.
Read Art. 8 of the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) Ordinance on Road Traffic Controls.

That would imply there is actually an increased demand for test centres, despite the circle of clientele shrinking by the day?

So you claim to know every law and to be sure you have never broken one of them inadvertently?

Some claim to make.

And seeing this is the best criticism you can come up with of my earlier point, I guess that means my point stands.

Didn't you already respond to me yesterday and your comment was deleted? Took you awhile to come up with a new one. xx

If that was a joke, a joke about my health condition isn't funny.

We don't know what the long-term consequences of the vaccines are as they are new, only have emergenc approvals and are using a new technology.

Note that I'm not anti-vax. I also want to stop this pandemic.
If you got vaccinated in spite of any rational or/and irrational fear then you did your bit to stop the pandemic.

You took the "risk", you've done your bit. I think it would be only fair if all those who are "vaccinable" do their bit, it's selfish if they don't.

Humor is not exactly characterized by echo nor kumbaya, I agree. Your reading comprehention is great and I have yet to catch you in a combative mode .

You just happen to have your own opinions and offer a lot of logic when trying to understand your oponents. It may not be obvious to them.

You're right, it does take excellent or "special" reading comprehension to understand most of what you have to say MC ...

If the vaccine is on average 90% effective...
How efficient the vax will be against new variants is not precisely known yet. And we have on one hand countries deciding against covid measures starting next Monday, countries that start obliging vaxing, etc. etc. It seems to me that CH is weighing options, watching the trends really closely. To not act too much and too soon.

Of course it is. People are going on holidays or want to go to the night club or disco, teenagers are going to camps. They all need testing.

Re: Coronavirus

Reading through the last few pages of this thread, it appears there's more than a few people who would benefit from watching 'Horizon Special: The Vaccine'. It's currently on BBC iplayer for those who can access that, but I expect it to be on youtube pretty soon. It's a very, very informative programme, following the development of 5 of the vaccines, one of which failed (the Queensland vaccine).
