A friend of a friend is a kindergarten teacher.

She has little children in her class with sore, cracked skin on the backs of their hands, from frequent, rough washing.
Are she sure that it is from washing? For my son it's enough to spend a minute without gloves outside in winter to have a skin like that.

Liechtenstein also closing all schools and daycare centers, for parents in urgent need of a care center for the kid till they arranged something they will remain open till latest 20th March.

I'd be utterly surprised if school/Daycares remain open here, tho I wonder how much it would matter. I'm keeping my kid home as of today and expect a lot of people doing the same.
In BL, non-compulsory schooling may be closed. Although my daughters' FHS is switching to distance learning - lectures, tutorials etc. over the internet. Compulsory schooling (secondary and primary) is not going to be closed imminently - the rationale being that too many kids could end up being looked after by their grandparents. It's lower risk to keep those schools open.

The ISB has switched to remote learning.

Or the NYT has lost the plot, as they seem to have since 2016. They're no longer credible as a reputable newspaper, despite European papers parroting everything they say about Trump.
No doubt, unlike Trump, you have a credible set of examples of where the NYT made disreputable statements about the coronavirus. Or is this just your opinion?

I don't know. As I said, it's a friend of a friend. She reported that there's been a definite increase in raw, red, cracked skin, and that this issue had not been idespread in her class prior to the new handwashing. Of course, it's possible that she might be attibuting a causality where there is only a correlation.

Oh, your poor son! That must be really, really annoying for him! I hope you can find a way for his skin to improve.

Re: Coronavirus

There are images, claiming to be from UNICEF, circulating. They say such foolish things as
"....any mask prevents its entry.”
and
“If the virus is exposed to a temperature of 26-27ºC. It will be killed, as it does not live in hot regions. Also drinking hot water and sun exposure will do the trick .....”
Here they are debunked:

Here's an insider tip. Don't wear a watch. The watchband is just full of millions of bacteria and probably viruses.

Probably a mixture of more hand washing and the cold weather.

This exactly. And, according to the Czech healthcare staff employed in IT that called CZ press in despair, they have to triage when picking people up to bring them to IC wards.

Absolutely, this.

Indeed.
Apart from the foreign medical staff which is overworked and exhausted, hotels, construction sites etc etc are closing and are practically forcing foreign workers to leave Italy. The bad part is they can't go anywhere, borders are closed. It's tragic. Lots of people nobody is accountable for. EU? Ha.

So what do you suggest? Re-open the borders and allow even more spread? A main point is to reduce geographic spread.

They say not before 14h. But the youtube site indicates 17h.

Vaud says they'll have one at 14:30 and Fribourg at 13:30.

So I would guess about 14h would fit. But who knows...
