why oh why? Why can't I take the dog out to the woods where I won't meet anyone? Where on earth it the logic or rationale of that?
Where is that quote in bold coming from?

Just a quick question, my apologies if its been answered somewhere else.

We are currently abroad until next week, must we return to Switzerland immediately or can we keep to our original plans?

Thanks.
Check your airline's site regularly to see if they've changed your itinerary. Many airlines are cancelling flights right and left and you might need to make sure they change it to something that works for you.

Where is that quote in bold coming from?
from the federal goverment:

Berset appelle à rester à la maison
Le ministre de la Santé dit que les Suisses peuvent aller faire leurs achats en gardant leurs distances mais qu'il faut impérativement que les personnes vulnérables restent à la maison. Il évoque notamment les personnes qui ont de l'hypertension, une maladie cardiaque, un cancer ou, tout simplement, plus de 65 ans.

Anybody above 65+ or younger with precondition HAS TO STAY AT HOME

Not walk their dogs, not take lunch, not wander up in the sticks, JUST STAY AT HOME

Re: Coronavirus

Apparently Canada has closed it’s border except to legal residents. Not sure what this means to non-resident citizens.

Re: Coronavirus

Just to give a simple example how other countries are doing, and Switzerland has no excuse not to do the same:

http://gdi-sk.maps.arcgis.com/apps/o...c3f5747e80c3a5

On this link, you can get every single case registered in Macedonia with the following info:

-where the person is
-date of registration
-male/female
-where and how they caught it

And lots of other info about the current sutiation

It looks like Sci Fi compared to the info we have from Swiss authorities

The last sentence makes no sense at all. Give me one reason why walking the dog in the field and the woods behind me will have any negative effect on my health or anyone else?

Relax, walk your dog. As long as you're not parading it around the village square who is going to care or notice?
Slap on a bit more pancake number 4, you'll pass for 64.

Re: Coronavirus

Nonsense - I will not go to public parks- but the fields and woods near my house are empty- and should I by miracle meet someone- we can give each other a massive 10m + wide berth.

My GP totally agrees and so does my personal GP sitting next to me- who will come and walk the dog with me. Exagerated nonsense is NOT helping at all.

Well unless you’re walking your dogs around your house it seems pretty obvious no?
You can’t walk your dogs if you have to stay at home.
It is however a recommendation, it really depends on where you live and where you plan to walk your dog.

Why do you care so much? The virus is circulating inside the community, every single village has the exact same risk, a lot of people are probably running around carrying it with little to no symptoms. What does it matter which village has people who have done the right thing and gotten the test?

The most important message is that everyone should stay home. Young, old, perfectly healthy or with a million pre-existing conditions. STAY HOME unless you absolutely have to go out. Yes, obviously, if you live out in the countryside and have access to wide open spaces you can walk your dog. But even healthy young adults should not spend more time outside of their homes than is strictly necessary.

I love the hypocrisy of calling out the government for ineptitude and then immediately after their announcement typing in all caps or in bold that the situation is not like Italy and not a quarantine. Is the police going to arrest you if you go outside? No. Is it adviseable at all under any circumstances to go outside unless absolutely necessary? No. So stay home, it could save lives.

No one has said you can’t go out and walk your dog.... have they? They haven’t banned travel around Switzerland.

I didn’t say you did so why the groan?

I said it depends on where you live and where you go with your dog. It is a recommendation not an obligation.

It makes sense for a 75 year old not to take their dog out walking in the park with loads of other people.

Sorry. This is getting difficult. I have seen nothing requiring me to stay at home. I see everything about which shops will be closed but nothing about not going outside. A specific link rather than a link to the front page of a newspaper would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
