I think they will stay open, farmer necessity

| | Re: Coronavirus | Quote: | | | | | Is there a list anywhere of exactly which type of stores have to be closed.
I could imagine my home gradually sinking into darkness as bulbs fail if hardware stores are closed. | | | | | There are some supply chain problems.
Some specific LED lamps have been unavailable now for weeks.

Online service is still operating though. | | | | | Maybe I'm wrong on the building markets, or some are still open depending on location and brand.
However there is online and there are supermarkets, I'd expect everyone sort of always having some spare bulbs at home anyway :P

It's a bummer .. I often shop over the border at Carrefour, it's same distance as my nearest COOP and so much cheaper for many things.. Plus it was much better stocked last week.
We don't need to shop for a week or so.. Will be interesting.

Well, they're rated for 25K hours. If you use them 12 hours per day (an exaggeration to be on the safe side) , the should last at least ~6 years https://www.jumbo.ch/de/led-st-cla-6...25?sku=1332376 |

Some weird stuff/decisions these days.
The Austrians are calling their inhabitants back from Switzerland.
Last night they stopped all flights and trains from Switzerland.
So who exactly will transport their citizens back to Austria? German | This user would like to thank curley for this useful post:

1. Home burglary rates should be close to zero (while offices get burgled like never before?). So obviously our home contents insurance premiums will be significantly lower next year. | The following 2 users would like to thank 22 yards for this useful post:

| | Re: Coronavirus | Quote: | | | | | They're hardware stores, not building supplies stores. | | | | | Yeah, sort of but not really. 95% of all of my building supplies that I have purchased in Switzerland over the years have been from Coop B&H and Hornbach. Definitely not to be compared to a hardware store like ACE or TrueValue in the States where you can't really buy lumber.
