Re: Coronavirus

Just for info:
I have a booking for the periodic auto inspection (periodische Fahrzeugprüfungen) next month, I checked the Strassenverkehrsamt site today and not surprisingly all inspections are cancelled.

Who's doing what today then?
I'm off to walk the dog in the woods, then cleaning the windows.
No shopping required.

Just made the dough for a Züpfe (plaited loaf) for our breakfast later on, will do some housewifey 'office chores', then updating the blogs, walking the dog, tackling (reading properly through) the backlog of a years worth of Beobachter and K-Tipp magazines... putting household in order, hovering the house (black dog - white floor tiles, not the best combo), later on indulging in some EE and classic EE whilst crochetting and then the day might be almost over so cooking dinner will be my last deed of the day.

Re: Coronavirus

Start the work to clear out my garage so that I keep my car in it next winter.

First step - saw up the old delivery crates.

Decided to sing some of the first songs I'd ever learnt, as a child. Looked them up on Youtube. Practiced. It got better.

A day in the kitchen - sourdough starter is ready to try so all being well then bread & pizza dough. Also restock homemade granola stash, make some fresh bbq sauce & onion chutney plus marinate chicken wings & make hot sauce for dinner - fingers & toes crossed nothing goes pear shaped!

On an iPad, procreate is incredibly versatile. Lots of funky pen shapes - not sure if it works on other platforms.

I used to use art rage on a pc with a bamboo tablet. That was fun.

There are loads of apps.

I’m not very good, just like to play.

Going to try a simple no knead bread recipe and organize the refrigerator.

Big brother will soon be watching you. The Swiss police want to look into your handy data to see where you are and where you move to. Total control to the state. It was all predicted!

"That is why the federal government is also considering the use of digital surveillance. It will be checked whether cell phone data can be used to find out whether and where people are getting too close, said Daniel Koch from the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) on Thursday. "We know that a project is underway," confirmed the spokesman for the data protection officer on Friday. That is why the BAG asked what exactly it was planning, but had not yet received an answer.

There are basically two scenarios for monitoring: The authorities evaluate movement data in order to track down and resolve crowds. Or, like in South Korea, they monitor individual patients and their movements to prevent new infections, which means a much more massive invasion of privacy."

Re: Coronavirus

Swisscom, Sunrise and Salt have so far not received any requests from the federal government to transmit movement data from customers. Google Switzerland states that the US parent company checks worldwide to what extent it provides anonymized location data for its apps to national health authorities.

The Swiss police corps meanwhile took action analogously on Friday. Several parks and squares were closed in Bern and Zurich. The corps are currently not pushing for the increased use of surveillance technology in the fight against Corona. They rely on presence in the streets. The Bernese cantonal police traditionally receive reports from the population on the gathering of people. "We are seeing that the population is increasingly adhering to the guidelines," said the Basel-Stadt cantonal police. The use of cell phone data is not an issue for her.$

If you have an iPad, 'Brushes Redux' is an excellent entry-level app. If I recall right, it’s free or v low cost.

Would be very good if they did this, the better the data they have the better they can take proper measurements, you biased opinions change nothing on that.
