You're missing my point ..

We're not (yet) seeing that in CH .. My questions were, has CH dodged the bullet, has CH done something right, does CH still have it coming ..

I don't need you're help to visualise Italy, as I said, I can see that in the media everyday .. I don't see it for CH, that's my point.

As others have since said, it's maybe still coming..
As said before, and as said in every newspaper on earth, and as said by every doctor and hospital in the country.

We still have the worst to come.

Trump: Coronavirus 'is an invisible, horrible enemy’.
Is it really to be considered an enemy?

I wonder if there will be a surge of babies being born, because people are forced to stay cooped up inside. The Corona Generation .
I can just see it 20 years from now . . ."Yeah, I'm a Corona baby too. I can't believe how stupid people were back then. "

Great to hear, COOP seems to be ahead of the curve in that they have a spray for customers entering the store and their petrol stations have a dispenser by the tills. None of the Migro, Aldi or Lidl stores I've visited have public dispensers... yet.
On Friday the Coop in Gossau were sanitising the hands of every customer as they entered, then the handles of the shopping trollies got the same treatment.

A card with a number on it was handed out to limit the numbers in the store to handed back to the cashier.

To my mind the handing of the card is where it all went horribly wrong...

Coronials perhaps?

I would imagine the expected boom in birth rates will be matched by the increase in the divorce rate!

We have the same system here, but the card is laminated and also gets disinfected upon return.

Control? Horror? Peculiar choices of language under the circumstances.

If it helps you to visualise a little, last week an Airbus A320 was crashing every day in Italy. For the last few days, it's been a A380 per day. When the Germanwings A320 flight crashed in France in March 2015, 150 souls were lost and the story ran on every media channel for weeks. So when we currently have Italy losing an A380 per day and Spain losing a Boeing 747 per day, forgive me but I don't need to see that horror to know it's there.
one of the dumbest comparisons to use!

Very much possible, a lot of babies were born after SARS in hong kong, real statistics there.

Maybe this will help, someone just sent this info re. GE, no idea where it came from.

The situation in GE is like this--the situation is becoming tense with six additional deaths in two days as of Sunday. The HUG welcomed 36 patients in intensive care, all intubated. 179 people are hospitalised now compared to 46 last week. All healthcare resources are mobilised ; med students and those from HES santé are called upon.

I know that my neighbour has party right now. I am not sure how many people are in his flat. Should I call the police?
I am really sick of people not follwoing the rules but don't want to make problems for me. And I want to have my normal life back end of April.

Let's hope not.

Netherlands on the other hand are doing "controlled spread among the groups least at risk" approach.

At this moment sounds a lot more logical

Re: Coronavirus

Parents whose children were due to take their IB exams in May may be interested to hear that a letter has just gone out to schools and examiners stating that the exams will be cancelled.

The letter states:
“Depending on what they registered for, the student will be awarded a Diploma or a Course Certificate. This is based on the student’s submitted coursework and the established assessment expertise, rigour and quality control already built into the programme”.

More details are expected tomorrow.
