It also kills 15 to 20 % of people hospitalized with it and up to 50% during epidemics, so there's that too.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lassa_fever#Prognosis

But anyway, that has nothing to do with the discussion here.
Why not?

Nothing offtopic about discussing if Corona should be classified as a HCID or not.

If this kills BJ, Trump and a few of the Mullahs this would be one of the best things to have happened in the world in a long time!

HCID means nothing to me sorry, but looking at that list of viruses it seems pretty clear that COVID19 is not on par with those viruses.

That's what I like about Switzerland - the authorities usually will consider your individual circumstances.
A man working in COOP is not the authorities.

I think he was just thinking on his feet and made a sensible decision on the spur of the moment - good for him.

Asking a Geneva Swiss chauffeur car company whether they can pick someone up from the Cote D'Azur and take him to Geneva - yes not a problem.

He's a minor.

Can't do it.

Can you make an exception in this case.

No.

People make these decisions in these times, not because they are Swiss, or French, or German, but because they are people.

From which posts do you conclude that?

Btw it is perfectly possible, indeed reasonable, to like the UK but despise BJ

Re: Coronavirus

93 year old in Spain has been released from hospital after not showing up symptoms after being tested positive, another test was done days later and was negative

In Valencia, 35% of victims belong to the age group between 60 and 80, and the remaining 15% are older 80 years.

I wonder just how many of the Spanish victims are simply seniors who were abandoned in the panic and left to die in the retirement homes?

None, unless you've got a source to back up your claim

I thought his post was well played dry sarcasm and quite funny. The "Swiss" are generally pedantic A$$holes when it comes to their rules. Govt or otherwise.

The Spanish military has found older residents of some care homes "completely abandoned" and even "dead in their beds," Defense Minister Margarita Robles said in a television interview on Monday.

They were found as soldiers disinfected and provided emergency health care services this week to residential homes across the country. Robles did not give an exact figure for the number of dead bodies found by Spanish soldiers.
I guess we'll never know, they will put everything on Corona. The government will never admit people died out of negligence.

I see a lack of flattening but not +1400 cases, more on the order of +500

Scratch that, RTS showing +1397 - damn

Federal council meeting again, we'll see how they react but you gotta wonder if they will not implement stronger guidelines to follow

The PDF that contains current situation mentions a rise of 1390 of by Geneva confirmed cases. The numbers we always look at by all the crawlers like worldometer are including those not yet confirmed by a 2nd test. Also most of those crawlers sort of follow our daily routine, whereas Bag seems to be using 24hr blocks from around midday to midday.

Re: Coronavirus

It looks like the rate of new cases has been holding semi steady, if not curving down the last few days, which looks like good news. I'd be concerned if there was a progressive rise in the number of positives as the week went on.
Shows a good result I'd say.
