It doesn’t really look like that the pandemic curve is flattening out. Statistically speaking, up to date we have almost 1 in 430 people being infected. Scary to even go outside or shopping in one’s neck of woods

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
You forgot to extract the ones who died or have recovered

I'm not concerned about the confirmed ones, I assume that in large majority they are either in hospital or stay at home. There is an even bigger group who don't know they are infected they are a bigger problem for you and me.

Was impeccable, in your mind anyway, but then you ruined it by changing your post, then lying about it.
So, you're still a liar.
There is no automatic note in the OP's post that it was edited so your claim is on thin ice

Since we keep on milking this non-issue to the max even tho absolutely nobody cares.

There is 3 minutes between their postings, and ninja-edits don't leave an edit notification, unless mods can see a history of ninja-edits we'll simply never know. (A server dude going through all logs to solve the puzzle is overkill..)

Re: Coronavirus

I read in papers again today that the death stats in different countries correspond to BCG vax programs. NL is doing trials now with 500 health care people, 500 with placebo.

There has been a research where this same vaccin is also used for malaria, it does not protect against the disease itself, but the immune-system started responding faster which is a great benefit.

Yes. I regret CH not vaxing against tb any longer en masse, wanted to have it done for me (redone, mine didn't work as a kid) and my kid (CZ did it at birth, but they stopped at 2010).

Re: Coronavirus

I much appreciate Switzerland‘s milder and more sensible approach. Speaking to friends and family in the UK, which was late to the lockdown party, the place seems to be turning into a police state.

Friends employ a gardener. He lives alone, is never allowed in their house, travels to and from jobs by his own car - and needs the money. This morning he was stopped by the police on the M5 (motorway) fined £75 and sent home. None essential work...

It certainly is here. Worldwide not quite yet. (Obviously that's no reason to not observe social distancing)

The media reporting has been markedly different. One night we watched a fairly tense UK news broadcast, then switched to SRF1 where the presenter ended the evening news by reminding people who had to go to work the next day, to take their sandwiches as the shops and canteens may not be open. It felt trivial but was completely practical.

Just noticed that the main road into Zurich is very busy today. Feels like bank holiday traffic to be honest.

For those who settled in the German part of Switzerland and learnt the language: The Corona version of "Ewigi Liebi" changed from "give me a hug" to "don't touch me".

According to the rules, groups of two, three or four (unless from the same household) still need to keep a 2m distance between each other.
This is probably the singe silliest and most unrealistic rule, regarding the 2m distance withing the group. Silliest not because it wouldn't make sense (it would) but because Nobody will follow it! It would be super awkward and cumbersome: picture five people stretched over 10 meters trying to have a conversation while walking!

So what? Then don´t go out with 4 other people. Or do you prefer to be stuck home and needing a pass to show to the police before you are allowed out?

A circle of about 3,5mtrs is enough for 5 people to keep 2 meters distance from each other.

on a narrow path/sidewalk? anyway I bet they still wouldn't keep apart like that, even on a wide road. speaking from what I observe on daily basis, here in ZH Oberland...

I personally only go out alone or with my wife or daughter and we do keep the distance. But the formal rule is not realistic is what I'm saying. What's the point of issuing a rule hardly anybody will follow?

You don’t have to keep the distance if you’re out with people who live in the same household as you.

People do follow it, largely. At least where I live. I just wish that when they're chatting they wouldn't do it perpendicular to the road and thereby blocking it.

sorry, I meant we keep away from others on the path.
btw, is there a rule then on minimal distance between groups? because you could have ten peopl;e all spaced up 2 meters, is it considered then a group of 10 or two gropups of 5? the whole thing is just weird...
