Could be useful if a family member gets it and has to stay at home along with the rest of the family.
Sure, but the vast majority of users think they're getting protection against infection by wearing them, which is quite dangerous, especially if it means they fail to take other more effective precautions, like frequent and thorough washing of hands, which will block what is quite likely the most common route of infection.

I read somewhere that they are quite useful, remind people to not touch their face, eyes, ears, nose..

One should probably disinfect cell, pc keybord and earphones, too,

Dunno about you, but no-one touches my phone, earphones or computer except me.

Yes, I suppose they can help avoid contaminated hands coming into contact with points of entry into the body, but do the wearers realise this and make sure they wash their hands when they get home before removing the masks?

But they only work for an hour or, at best, two.

The virus doesn’t remain in the air, it collects on surfaces. Wash your hands, wash your hands and try (very hard) not to touch your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.

Licking surfaces is also not recommended.

Results of 70 tests are pending? Mainly from Bern and Basel.

Did I hear that right?
They've been testing for some time already, and the first couple of hundreds of results all have been negative.

And if you have to visit a public WC dont use those that you have to open a door to get out. The door hadles are full of all sorts of things

I would wash them after as well.

Even if nobody touches your cell, headphones, any keyboards...your hands will do. I don't think we wash them fast enough for this, tbh. The many times I pushed elevator buttons today, communal coffee machine, train door buttons, credit card docks, you name it.

Plus I read that the virus is present in human excrements and it is traceable in canalisation and vapors it creates.

Ticino beats Geneva!

Well done to St2Leman: Ticino gets the first case of Corona Virus in Switzerland when normally, when something goes shitty, we get the trophy in Geneva! Happy to leave you this one!

We've already been sneezing in ticino for about a month, as it is already spring. nay... summer, and it hasn't rained since last year.

Yep, was gonna say the same thing (not the bit about the rain though ). Been sneezing for months now - am I lucky my neighbours haven't had me conducted under escort yet?

McTavge, you are encouraging anti-foreignism! Tom will simply claim, it was brought by a frontalieri. Shame on you both.
