I’ve used NeoCitric briefly and that’s about it.
Thanks. | | | | | NeoCitran is useless - but popular.
The very old fashioned Alcacyl (before you go to bed, mainly).
Vick VapoRub.
Lots of fluid - I cut fresh ginger, add hot water and a little honey.
Vitamin C - my doctor once told me to just get those from Migros or Coop. Cheaper than from the pharmacy but same effect.
Lots of sleep.

Panic buying is not a typical Swiss reaction. Although it might make sense for Chinese specialities as the flights don't come in regularly at the moment. | The following 2 users would like to thank curley for this useful post: | |

Wet hands transmit 1000x more bugs than dry hands.

Panic buying may be the wrong thing to do but people usually have reasons for doing it.

Last night I was reading an article in 20 minutes quoting a Swiss doctor who gave a generalization of the virus. Basically, he was saying the risk of catching it was much higher for the over 50 age group and those over 70 were most prone to catching it. 80% of those infected were over 50 years of age.
Quote

Any one can catch it, at any age. The more people around you who have it, the more likely you are to catch it.
However, you are more likely to develop serious complications requiring hospitaliation, and with a more serious outcome if you are older, especially older men.
Yong people may get very minor symptoms, if any.

A pharmacist friend of mine who has had all the briefings etc says it's so contagious because it's a novel (new) strain ofthe cold virus. No natural/acquired immunity anywhere.

1. Do you hoard out of fear of what could happen due to the disease.
2. Do you hoard because you think other people would empty the store.
I have no doubt that if we all act sane that stores will keep on having plenty of food and other stuff, perhaps not always what I want but still more than enough. However if I would see that everybody grabs 3 packs of toilet paper, than I also grab some extra packs just to avoid them buying it all and me wiping my ass with the Coop Magazine, and due to this stores can run out of a bunch of products quickly.
