Someone seems to assume that this will be compulsory for EVERYONE! More infringement into freedom of choice?
It is difficult to imagine that it would be obligatory. Heck, we aren't even confined now. The only real obligations here are taxes and health insurance. And being reasonable.

Soon they want to take your body organs without asking. One will have to state specifically in a will or whatever that you dont want to give organs. Otherwise they simply just take,no questions.

That's a different issue but I understand why you wrote that.

A team of researchers at the University of Bern is hoping to be the first to produce a vaccine against Covid-19 and inoculate the entire Swiss population in October.

Minus one-me!! They can stuff it up their arses!
There's no compulsory vaccination in Switzerland. You can do whatever you please including getting familiar with the local legislation, why the rant?

Suppositories are more the French way of doing it than the Swiss.

Face masks made mandatory in several German states since yesterday :/ https://p.dw.com/p/3bBSx

I'm wondering about the intersection of mandatory masks and burka bans in several countries in Europe. I'm reserving popcorn for when the French have to solve this riddle https://p.dw.com/p/3N8W4

The good news is Israel has come up with a vaccine, and is being tested in
USA. A biotech Company based in Haifa has reported that 7 patients who were
at high risk survived after receiving this medicine.

The Company CEO Yanay says "The cell secrete 2 types of proteins. One reduces inflammation; the other to regulate the immune system. Yanay hopes these so-called immuno-modulation proteins can slam the brakes to stop it turning on itself, as commonly happens with critical corona virus patients."

The predictions are not correct. ...

For the US it predicts 0 daily fatalities after the end of May.
https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america

Think about it. 0 daily fatalities. The virus 100% eradicated within 2.5 months. How likely does that seem to you?
I agree. I was following that site for a while but I stopped because they kept moving the goalposts to make it appear as if they had accurately predicted the recent past.

...Since it came up - I looked at stats from back home with main causes of premature deaths including corona and unsurprisingly corona is among the last ones. People still die there times more of cancers and x3 of cardiovascular diseases and then diabetes and other illnesses...
I maintain that we can't compare them as apples to apples though. Cancer, heart attacks, and diabetes are not contagious whereas Covid-19 is. What the data seems to be showing (now that we have a few months of it) is that Covid-19 is super contagious but in the long run it's not super deadly except when it first spreads and the most vulnerable all get it at the same time.

I remember when the Bundesrat announced the re-opening of schools someone on here (reasonably) asked what was the scientific evidence behind it. Seems the decision might be correct, now beginning to be some evidence behind it.
That's something that fascinates me about this virus. Normally children catch and transmit everything because they don't have developed immune systems and they're always touching things. So far it seems children are almost totally unaffected by Covid-19. Whether or not they can carry and transmit seems up in the air based on the number of sick teachers. I think if we do widespread testing down the road we may find that a high percentage of children had this and never experienced symptoms for some reason.

That is worth a party! I hope it stays that way and that other cantons follow suit!

I doubt this will be compulsory in the sense the Swiss government requires it. The more likely scenario is many countries will follow Austria's lead and say you need to have a certificate proving you have immunity before you're allowed to enter. Thus meaning if you want to travel anywhere you'll need the vaccine or to have already had the disease.

I'm curious as to why you, a former healthcare professional, are so opposed to a vaccine?

Sounds more like a medicine than a vaccine? Do you have a source?

I looked at the site you quote but could not find the info?

Found this link which calls it a stem cell-based therapy

Vaud is not doing so well I’m afraid. 300 deaths so far, and were still getting new cases. Not as much as before, for sure, but still.
