I can't believe he actually suggested people should inject themselves with disinfectant.
He never suggested it, he never recommended it. He didn't even claim that he thought it would work; he only asked if it wasn't worth testing. Pathetic, shameful, incredibly idiotic, but just a question.

Things are sooooo boring in Switzerland that's there's energy left to worry about Trump. Boring is a good thing these days, cheers
Thumbs up for positive Friday thought!

And no, not boring. It gets seriously exciting here.

Trump is desperate for any solution to the Coronavirus, because he literally can't tweet and insult it away. His whole life he's been able to bully or manipulate or simply had luck to get things to go his way. The virus doesn't play by his rules, and for him that's incomprehensible.

He's not very smart with science, so of course he's going to come up with strange questions. If bleach works, why can't we inject it? I mean it cleans stuff, right? If UV light works (what is UV anyway to Trump, he uses spray tan), then let's all get blasted with UV. I totally see where his ideas come from, and no doubt many of his supporters think he's coming up with legit solutions that are being shot down by Trump haters just because they hate Trump.

This.

Let's hope nobody will try it at home.

With your country ( Czech Republic ) out of lockdown ( albeit with caveats ) reason enough for you to celebrate today.

That would be counter productive. Just wait till the measures get lifted here...no party central. And they are right.

He did not. And covfefe was a typo ("coverage"). But what can you do when all these people there want Trump to be this way? We are not in the US, why get so concerned by all that obvious malice.
Unfortunately, Trump himself spouts obvious malice nearly every time he opens his mouth to refuse to take any responsibility. He can't claim to be a victim while at the same time being an attacker himself.

This is the context. Trump starts at 26:17, however what's said at the linked time may be of general interest.

Trump is quoted completely out of context, you can "prove" anything and everything that way. The MSM should be ashamed of themselves. Not just for the malignant misrepresentation but also for not informing the public about what Brian said.

Hope nobody thinks of sniffing disinfectant as a cure like we've had 'glue sniffing' by certain groups of addicts.

Of course its no doubt a 'lets wait and see' as to what the bigger picture will be for them coming out of
lockdown and its by no means an 'all back to normal' exit from lockdown either.

The problem is and this idea resounds there everywhere - once you are out after the strict confinement, people will never go back to the previous discipline even if it is needed.. And then it will be too late. The 2nd wave is being mentioned and last night it was also mentioned here on the local news. So, there is a lot of anxiety and stress. Stay home and kill the national economy. Go out and there is no return and older people sacrificed. That's the discourse there, not whether people will be willing and selfless enough to wear masks. They are already.

Look at Singapore, once a model in Covid management the last news I heard wasn't good.

Typical trait of a narcissist - so in his mind, above makes total sense. Add to that a "healthy" dose of sociopathy and a generous splash of psychopathy, and voilà, makes even more sense. To him anyway.

Re: Coronavirus

More than 21 percent of around 1,300 people in New York City who were tested for coronavirus antibodies this week were found to have them, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said on Thursday.

But if the state’s numbers indicated the true incidence of the virus, they would mean that more than 1.7 million people in New York City, and more than 2.6 million people statewide, have already been infected.

That is far greater than the 250,000 confirmed cases of the virus itself that the state has recorded.

It would also mean that the fatality rate from the virus was relatively low, about 0.5 percent, Mr. Cuomo said.

?

Context seems to be that the Coronavirus task force has been looking into ways to kill the virus, reduce transmission, etc. Sunlight, UV, and disinfectants have shown to be effective.

Trump, in his wisdom, seems to have decided that these can therefore be touted as potential cures for the virus - as treatments to be used directly on/in the human body. And of course, he's not a doctor, he's just a guy with a good 'you-know-what', so he doesn't directly say that these are known cures, just that his team has agreed to 'check on it'.

As if they'll open up Encyclopedia Brittanica to double check if shoving a high power flashlight up the ass will kill the virus or not.

What exactly should the MSM be ashamed of and why?

Of course they will, the public is always double-checking the facts.

The lockdown is not about avoiding "older people sacrificed" as you well know.

The lockdown is to minimise the number of people needing hospital treatment so ensuring availability of sufficient hospital capacity for seriously ill people to get treatment and a good chance of recovery.
If the hospitals should get overloaded then seriously ill people of all ages will not get hospital treatment and so miss a fair chance of recovery; take Boris as one example of a "not old" person in this class. Nobody wants the scenario of untreated people dying at home or in the streets.

Re: Coronavirus

I'm going to ignore Trump for the moment....

I went to a local Coop Pronto tonight. It was filled (that means up to ten people) with young people buying beer and chips. More were waiting outside for their turn.

The lockdown has lost its importance to our youth. And I don't blame them. It's time to loosen the lockdown and completely scrap it in June.
