You need to get your sarcasm detector repaired.
Somehow reminds me of an old science fiction series "Red Dwarf", in the cast was Kryten, a mechanoid (robot) with interchangeable heads with different qualities like irony.

I happily don't share your grasp of statistics which enables you to study the graphs and then to draw an entirely opposite conclusion than the written conclusion of the study authors.

From the ETH press relase about the study

Well BM, if you haven't realised by now that I'm not really into conspiracy theories, then all the brushing up in the world won't be enough for you.

Thanks, will do. Personally, I'm happy to believe the conclusions of a group of expert academics, and to trust them over inexpert laypeople with side agendas. How about you?

There's so much anecdotal evidence that many deaths have been incorrectly recorded as being down to coronavirus, it wouldn't surprise me if many other countries have over estimated their death toll.

The UK has in the region of 60,000 excess deaths over a normal period, yet "only" around 37,000 are due to the Coronavirus. I'm just waiting for the study that states the remaining 23,000 are due to the lockdown.

Are you showing us your strong grasp of statistics again?
On the other hand in the real world;

Tony, I have no problems with your beliefs.

Just try not to impose them to everyone.

While you were quite annoying in the beginning and frankly your views on coronavirus seemed short of dangerous to me, I think everyone can form their own opinions by now.

And, most importantly, due to the lockdown we're quite safe.

It’s not about me and what I know or don’t know about your beliefs, a casual reader just won’t get that you intended it as sarcasm.

Re: Coronavirus

I'm at loss here. Why is people getting grumpier when things are improving?

Nothing truly awful happened in the last 2 months. Summer is almost here with vacations. Bars opened a couple weeks ago. The restriction of more than 5 people together will be lifted soon (lifted to 30 people). Sales are catching up after the virus slowdown at my job.

I'd just like to remind everyone there are no dangerous ideas because ideas don't exist in the physical world. An idea cannot either help you or hurt you. The benefit and danger is in the actions. Zum Wohl!

Platon might have objected to your idea.

Jokes aside. You'd be surprised how many people gave up vaccinating their kids because....well, ideas.

Good, I applaud this decision! The expert academics are the only people I listen to as well, which is why I have changed my opinion on lockdowns

I don't try to impose anything on anybody (unless you care to give an example?), just trying to inform.

Super, so please convince us by sharing your expert academic sources instead of sharing your amateur interpretation of the ETH study results.

THE EF member involved is no longer a member so their username is no longer shown.

I realise this may be a difficult concept for you and also understanding that they will consequently not see your reply
