Sweden is on the list.

Better clean up the house since she'll be spending a lot of time in it.
Can I see a link to the list?

If Sweden in the list, she will not come, because its plain stupid

First PDFs at the top of that page, choose German, French or Italian. Sweden is on the list. Page 4.
Edit - USA is also on the list

Yep.

(But if you want to meet your wife in France, be aware that they might set up similar rules.)

ETA, with a big ol' never mind.

On reflection, I think I'll stay put.

Then lots of old & venerable people are going to die, very little we can do about it, however I disagree with your 'dramatic vision'.

As a Covid Survivor, even my wife did not catch it. I was ill before Covid was on the radar in Europe so never ended up as a statistic or saw a Dr.
Covid Survivor is a little dramatic for someone who wasn't even hospitalised with the virus.
As for "lots of old & venerable people are going to die", my partner's cousin was admitted to hospital 9 days ago with the virus. He died on Saturday night aged 61. Whilst he wasn't someone I knew well, his passing has shaken my partner's very close knit family. His family of 6 adults and one child went into lockdown together in March. Currently, both of his children and their spouses are ill with the virus at the house, leaving his widow caring for 4 sick adults and their grandchild. My partner's 61yr old brother in the UK still hasn't got his energy back 14 weeks after recovering from the virus.

One of the worrying trends in the US is reports of patients getting 'younger and sicker':

I wonder what the criteria was. It's surprising that Mexico is not included, when the outbreak there is so severe. Also why not the UAE, but every other Gulf State? In general, my feeling was that the Gulf States had such high cases because they go all out on testing - their death rates are really quite low.

The metric used by BAG/OFSP is 60 infections per 100K people during the last 14 days.

Remember Mexico is 128 million people, that number in the denominator brings the rate down.

If not aleady posted, the UK has released the exempt countries from the 14 day quarantine. Switzerland is one of them.
