It's interesting that you've voiced so much concern about not getting a second CT scan in order to close a medical file and yet have simultaneously expressed that you don't care how many people become severely ill or die from COVID. So I guess when it comes to your own medical needs, that should be prioritized. But when it comes to the medical needs of others, particularly people who require a ventilator in order to breathe, that's unimportant.
I think you're beginning to understand FMF.

Covid hospitalisations are still way down and what was experienced in the spring, and even back then hospitals were never at capacity (Nightingale hospitals weren't required, ICU capacity only ever reached about 75% I recall, medical staff making Tiktok videos in empty wards).
It was up near 100% - and only below 100% because they massively increased the number of ICU beds (yes, even without the Nightingale hospitals. ICUs typically run at about 75% capacity in normal times and without covid.

The Nightingales in Manchester, Sunderland and Harrogate have been put on alert today.

Switzerland was at 98% in mid April

With some tests false positives & roughly 80% of positives have zero symptoms, I find the term 'case' misleading.
You do realize that at this present time, you can only get tested with symptoms or if you were in very close (brother, sister, husband, wife) contact with someone who was sick? Even in canton Vaud, with symptoms, they are not testing you unless they think there is a strong case for COVID-19. I work in canton Zurich and we have had 2 cases in my team. Only people that were in close contact (meetings longer than 30 minutes without masks) were tested and the company had to pay for it.

There is talk that people are afraid to get tested once experiencing symptoms because they are worried about what work will say or whether or not their friends, families & co-workers will have to be quarantined. You have to wonder how many cases are hidden...

I'm honestly tired of your incessant need to prove that this virus isn't dangerous simply because it wasn't for you. Enough!

What insight or analysis are you looking for? Lenews.ch, swissinfo.ch and thelocal.ch all offer Swiss stories on Covid in English. Most of that is however just speculation and opinion (as it is across the World's press) as no one really knows which direction the pandemic will take.
Something a bit more nuanced than "Bill Gates , Hurr durr, stock market"

Anyway, just skimmed through the highlights of that interview with Berset on SRF.

Seems like he is saying there will be no return to a lockdown, or at least that is not desirable and is putting decisions on potential measures firmly in the hands of the Kantons.

The hands of the guy from SG seemed quite shaky, if you ask me.

Well, you had mentioned it in response and agreement to other posts about people not receiving normal medical care during lockdown. You certainly weren't phrasing it then as though you thought it wasn't a problem.
I have to say Coronavirus is the magic cure for pretty much everything else.

A&E department deserted, all the hypochondriacs too frightened to venture out.
I arrived for my CT scan 15 minutes early, arrived at the room being served before I had a chance to sit on the chair.

Well, that's the very reason appointments are made. The people and the machine have a certain production rate per hour. So, appoint patients according to the production rate. Got an MRI of my head a couple years ago and the same no-wait experience. Nothing related to COVID, it's just competent people in charge.

This isn't true - if you want a test and are willing to pay for it (or more likely your company is), you can be tested.

Did you mean to say that you can only get tested through insurance based on those criteria?

Yes, and you act as though because you didn't become extremely ill or die from it, that no one else would either and that your own personal experience with it somehow means that it shouldn't be taken seriously by people in general.

Let me guess... You're also a Trump supporter?
