As far as I understand it, it's just a recommendation at the moment, however I can't imagine that it will be ignored.

Believe me, some companies WILL ignore this, the one I work for to start with. We just got the memo saying that there is no reason for working from home

Recommended, so not enforced/obligatory where possible. The company I work for knows better so will not allow working from home.
Haven't had a company email yet but I expect to be in the office for the foreseeable future. We were one of the last companies I know of to go on home office, and one of the first back.

We were required to come back as from April, 15. I sometimes think people have to die first before that is allowed here

In the office on the other hand, everybody arrives at 8 am, works highly concentrated and uninterrupted (except for 30 mins for nutrition and bathroom) until 5 pm when the employee then quietly and gratefully leaves. Everybody know that.

Home office and masks indoors now officially recommended. The first measure will have an effect at least.

18th of March until the 20th of April for us. That said there's been no cases in the company (200 people).

“We are a Covid safe community, we are not tossing off our masks,” Mark Pruhenski, Great Barrington’s town manager, said in a statement.

“We wear masks, keep safe distances as we can in public,” said Stephen Bannon, the chairman of the town Board of Selectmen. “We are among the lowest risk towns in the state, and we hope to keep it that way.”

Town leaders “believe herd immunity is a dangerous Covid-19 strategy.”
Since when is Great Barrington against masks.

I assume that this recommendation is on a similar level to those made back in March. If that's the case I don't think your company can ignore it

They did ignore that and will continue to ignore that. There is no legal reason, it is not a law, it is a recommendation.

The only thing they couldn´t ignore was allowing risk group persons to work from home. And that is not the case now as fas as I have read.

So you're saying () that results are not seen anyway in your company, therefore it is not controllable whether an employee did their job when in home-office.

The basic issue is that many managers have no idea what their employees do on a day-to-day basis so are completely unable to manage people in-home office. A properly run organisation should have that in hand so they can measure work quality and quantity.

Typically if someone is off sick and their manager has to step in then the results are not good.

Meanwhile, the local cinema in Schwyz is promoting another superspreading event

To be fair, the seating And rooms are spaciously generous, and if people wear masks and observe social distancing, I’d have no problem sitting in the theatre.

I’ve seen a few films there where not more than 8 people were in the theater.

I was trying to be funny. The movie poster was just calling for that.

Still, I would never ever go to a cinema in Schwyz right now.

When this is all over, probably time to look for another job. When they ask why you're leaving you can cite their reaction to the Coronavirus!

Re: Coronavirus

The task force says they are shocked by the speed of the spread.

They dont know when hospitals will become saturated if it continues at this rate.

Could also not answer if Switzerland has enough masks. Cantons are responsible.

Contact tracing is no longer working 100% due to lack of staff.

More to the point they do not recommend masks as protection.

Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold.

Re: Coronavirus

This is just laughable.
