A great graph that shows the deleterious effects of lockdowns and how precisely that triggers an extension of the at-risk population and comorbidities.

Peloton! I need to find one..Lockdown or not.

Germany is the closest you can buy them atm. My sister has one back in SF, she raves about it

On the flip side, you could always make a request to Galaxus, they have procured big ticket items for me in the past despite not offering it on their site or en Suisse

No they're not.

Last Tuesday
3008 cases,
21.1% positivity rate.
53 in hospital
8 deaths.

The numbers have literally doubled since last Tuesday.
Except for the positivity rate, which has increased by another 7%.

You can easily see the numbers for each day of the week here:

I think the last Tuesday numbers were with significantly less testing. Then wednesday shot up with more testing and had the positive rate under 20%, but it looks as though the positive rate is on the way up again so cases appear to be increasing even if the announce cases are not. No pub this weekend I think!

You are quite right - I was inadvertently comparing to the Wednesday - apologies.

We could easily be pushing 10k tomorrow if last weeks Tuesday - Wednesday trend repeats itself.

And before someone goes hey look the numbers are going down this week!; today's number is not the final tally for today. If you check that list in two days, the number for the 27.10.2020 will be higher because of lags in reporting by the BAG.

No problem, the numbers are hard to keep up with and we get used to them so quickly too!

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting three Covid-19 outbreaks related to Trump campaign events held in the state in September.

At least 23 cases have been traced to outbreaks occurring at rally events in Bemidji on September 18, a speech held by Vice President Mike Pence on September 24 in Minneapolis, and another rally held by President Donald Trump on September 30 in Duluth, the department said in an email to CNN.

I think the bike, as in the hardware is only a small part of the experience.. The main part is the group, the motivation, the numbers etc..
According to people I know who use it..
Same with PowerWatts in Geneva, it's just a bike on a trainer .. but the attraction is going and racing people beside you.

I used to put my road bike on a trainer and use Zwift and race against friends online.. It was fun.. Just get that if you can't find a peloton

I predict a two-week lockdown from Sunday and a superspreader of a weekend with parties everywhere (which will mean figures are distorted at the end of the two weeks).
3 weeks from Thursday I think. Any more bets?

Extent similar to April but without under 12 schools.

I bet that the majority of people won't be happy with the announcements, too far, not far enough.

Masks outdoors, enforced home office, distance learning for secondary schools and universities.

Maybe restaurant/bar closures, more likely a curfew

No full lockdown yet
