There are mainly two types of T cells; Helper and Cytotoxic T Cells.

How effective these are in fighting off COVID-19 is not yet known, of course, people hope they will give rise to immunity.
Immunity is still unknown. Efficacy is known. https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...1026114218.htm

Correct, if they don't & anti bodies don't last, it would appear that there will never be a vaccine.

Quite. A crappy immune response to natural infection is a pretty good indication that vaccination will be difficult or impossible. As observed in AIDS.

Thus if Marton is correct that protection is weak and short lived then we will most likely not have a particularly efficacious vaccine. I would posit that its somewhat stronger than he presumes for most people.

Considering it started 2 minutes ago, I'd say hold on a few minutes.

Re: Coronavirus

Discos and dance halls will be closed.

Bars and restaurants have to close at 11 p.m. A maximum of four people are allowed to sit at one table in restaurants and bars, with the exception of families with children.

All events with more than 50 people as well as sporting and cultural leisure activities with more than 15 people are prohibited. Parliament and community assemblies are excluded. Demonstrations and the collection of signatures are also still allowed with protective measures.

The number of people for events with family and friends in private rooms is limited to 10.

Contact sports are prohibited. In the professional field of sport and culture, training and competitions as well as rehearsals and performances are permitted. There are also exceptions for under 16s.

Prohibition of face-to-face teaching at universities (from November 2nd).

Expansion of the mask requirement: A mask must now also be worn in the outdoor areas of facilities and businesses. A mask requirement also applies in busy pedestrian areas and wherever the required distance in public spaces cannot be maintained.

A mask is now also required in schools from upper secondary level. One also applies

Mask compulsory at the workplace, unless the distance between the workplaces can be maintained (e.g. individual offices).

So basically no real significant measures...look forwards to 10,000 + cases per day next week guys...

Re: Coronavirus

The virus dies when it is unable to find a new host. We need to stop giving it that opportunity, and that's going to require some major shifts in our patterns for a while.

Re: Coronavirus

Blick.ch below

Does anyone know what this means "The Federal Council is expanding the short-time work a bit: employees on call also have a retroactive claim if they are employed on an unlimited basis.
"

That applies from midnight
Switzerland eagerly awaited the Federal Council's latest measures to contain the corona pandemic. And these have it all - because they are unlimited. This applies from today, midnight:
You must wear a mask wherever the distance cannot be maintained - even if you are outside.
Discos and dance halls have to close.
In restaurants and bars, only four people are allowed to sit at a table, curfew between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Events with more than 50 people are prohibited - with the exception of parliament and community assemblies. A maximum of 10 people may meet privately.
Sports or cultural leisure activities with more than 15 people are prohibited. This does not apply to children under 16. Professional training and competitions are still allowed.
In schools: Universities must switch to distance learning, in compulsory schools it is allowed. A mask is compulsory from secondary level II - also at work.
The Federal Council is also recommending the use of rapid tests. However, these are less reliable than conventional PCR tests. Anyone who receives a positive rapid test result should still be tested in isolation and later using a PCR test.
The Federal Council is expanding the short-time work a bit: employees on call also have a retroactive claim if they are employed on an unlimited basis.
The list of risks will also be adjusted: The list is redefined in relation to Switzerland: namely if the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is more than 60 more than the number in Switzerland.

You can even avoid that too as there's not going to be many busy pedestrian areas now!

Re: Coronavirus

So, basically - there are still capacities (army field hospitals and private sector) and perhaps also planned negotiations for medical personnel relieve (paid overtimes, etc).

Ok.

Did they say when's the next update?
