So if masks were that effective why are we having the worst Covid spike to date?
you better ask why in Sweden, where no masks mandatory much less cases/deaths
or better do not ask this here
I'd say - distancing much more important than masks, but who am i to judge?

For once you'd be right (stopped clock effect). I don't think you will find any serious scientist to disagree.

Masks are for the occasions when you can't distance.

One week ago 10,073. Looking like the cases have flattened out now. 7 day average will give the full story.
It certainly seems promising, but with the high positivity rate and anecdotal reports of maxed out testing capacity, it is easy to be cynical and point out that there are many missed cases going undocumented.

I think airing the room protects too, especially if there is a risk that contageous aerosols stay in the air.

So something like this in my mouth and nose should do the trick?

it doesnt matter anymore. everyone, including CDC knows, who will be in charge next 4 years
So let us just ignore the seven studies that CDC quoted?

I saw this in the 20min French version as well, makes sense while we are following the news about Danish mink farms.

Honestly - why did you have to even mention that? Although it's without merit, the nutter element on here will probably try to start something with the idea.
I tend not to pander to the nutter element.

Re: Coronavirus

Brilliant, the city of Bern has decided to still hold their Christmas markets. Therefore I will not be able to leave my house in the old town this holiday season as everyone from around the country will be coming to the one city that was stupid enough to still have one.

There won't be any alcohol served, but I don't think that is the driving matter for these markets? I've never thought about going to get pissed at a Xmas market, but maybe I'm the only one...

I think the sweet sticky warm wine getting splashed into your nice wool gloves as you wander around the market to keep warm is a key part of the experience. I think I was in about 4 markets last year, I bought approximately 2-3 drinks at each, and a block of cheese at one.

Morally there should be a drawback in living somewhere as nice as Bern old town.
