~50% effectiveness. We're a bit above 1000 distributed in several offices in CH. If someone gets symptoms and has been in contact with others at work, suddenly 10-12 people have to quarantine for normal flu. If these cases go down by 50%, a lot of disruption for nothing is prevented.
Surely most people are working from home?

Most of time working from home. 1-2 days per week at the office. Boring meetings, calls, and admin work can be done from home. Engineering is a bit more challenging with screaming children at home.

Yeah, Macron's big speech last night. Schools opening Dec 15, right?

I wish I appreciated the way he delivers speeches..I don't. I can't really put a finger on it.

Of course, most people do, I can imagine. It's like - over-delivered or something. I am used to Czech and local rational poker faces I really wanted to know what's new but couldn't take the drama delivery, tried to change the chanel, he was on..how many...4 national channels? Lol me.

I've said it before, for 99.99% of people they are better of catching covid than getting a vaccine.

Doctors say CDC should warn people the side effects from Covid vaccine shots won’t be ‘a walk in the park

There is no relationship between your two statistics?

One states how strong is the protection against you becoming infected.
The other how good is your chance of recovery if you do become infected.

99.99%? 18.5% of the Swiss population are 65+, plus add the people with other risk factors.

Survival rate among those in risk groups is incredibly high. Excess mortality in every country is negligent compared to the overreaction and hysteria it created.

"Compared to overreaction" is hardly an objective criterion.

Hysteria in Vaud, things are way more relaxed around here with the kuhs and the carrots. Redirect your inconformity to relevant cantonal authorities.

You are clearly delusional. It is already hard to imagine why "catching" a non-replicating-by-design vector could be worse than, you know, a replicating one. Being sure of that is just laughable.

Now, if you want to make you statement less moronic, you could argue that for some people avoiding vaccines may be a (selfishly) good choice if the risk of catching covid for them is small enough. In other words, herd immunity free-riding strategy. That statement is at least not obviously wrong.
