For all you and your cronies talking down COVID-19 and how low the chance of someone without any pre-existing conditions or being younger dying is I find it funny that you didn't mention that the vaccine attributable risk for narcolpesy in children and adolescents due to this vaccine was 1 in 18400 or 0.005%
Isn't that several magnitudes higher than the infection mortality rate of Covid in children and adolescents though?

Results Our analysis finds a exponential relationship between age and IFR for COVID-19. The estimated age-specific IFR is very low for children and younger adults (e.g., 0.002% at age 10 and 0.01% at age 25) but increases progressively to 0.4% at age 55, 1.4% at age 65, 4.6% at age 75, and 15% at age 85.

I'm not sure about the Covid mortality rates and it wasn't really the point I was making.

The point was that V_ etc. talk about how small a chance it is to die from covid when it's also a really low chance of side effects from a vaccine. But they seem to ignore one because it doesn't fit their agenda.

Re: Coronavirus

It's not the choice of one or the other, necessarily. I can easily not want Covid nor vaccine. It will never be mandatory, just like it's never certain that I'll surely catch Covid. Catching Covid doesn't fit my agenda, nor having side-effect from fast baked new vax.

So hospitalizations continue to come down. Heard this week that at least in Uni Zurich the average stay in hospital is now quite a bit lower than in spring, 9 vs 14 days if I remember correctly. Good.

Deaths still very high and so far no decline.

Re: Coronavirus

The weekly report by OFSP/BAG was released yesterday. We are currently on week 48, so the data is up to last week. Peak cases were a month ago on week 44. Peak deaths 2 weeks ago on week 46. https://twitter.com/BAG_OFSP_UFSP/st...61506028720128

Clearly more deaths and hospitalizations compared to March. Considering there were 5 months between both events, it's a somehow a failure because lessons were not learned, preparations not made, protocols not followed, etc.

If there's a 3rd wave, it must be smaller than the 2nd, otherwise there's something really wrong in public policy and some cantonal authorities need to be held accountable or even roasted. There is no excuse anymore of dealing with an unknown thing.....that was March 2020. Somehow, lots of cantons stayed around 50 cases per 100K during the whole 2nd wave, which means under control.

The good news is that peak infections of the 2nd wave were a month ago. In 2-3 weeks new weekly cases should be below 10K, hospitalizations half of last week numbers and back to normal life once again. So, Merry Christmas.

Here was me thinking everyone wants to catch the virus and/or have side effects from a vaccine. Glad you clarified your position on not wanting either.

Good? Does it mean the people don't need long enough hospitalization or they cannot be hospitalized for as long as needed?

There's delay. In CZ 3 weeks after the numbers started to fall, the mortality rate started to fall too.

Does catching Covid or having side effects from a vaccine really fit anybody’s agenda?

I wouldn’t have thought so but maybe there are people queuing up to catch it? A bit like chicken pox parties but for Covid.

Singapore had to impose a two-month lockdown to curb the spread of the disease in April. While life has returned to relative normal since then, mask wearing is mandatory, there are strict social distancing rules, and the islandís borders remain largely closed.
https://de.reuters.com/article/us-he...-idUSKBN2850G6

Oh my, they killed their economy with that 2 month lockdown poor people, they are forced to wear useless masks and the have to suffer stricter border controls (pre-authorization of international travel and covid19 test on arrival) .

That definitely means that Singapore should abandon all attempts to control the coronavirus, then! Priorities!

Oh wait... they already did control the virus? Oh, that's good, then.

Spreading Dengue?

As of October 23, 2020, 92 percent of Singaporean respondents stated that they were wearing face masks when in public places during the COVID-19 outbreak plus as mentioned the "strict lockdown"; in fact all those things that V describes as hysteria and useless
