I am certainly not an immigrant. I was invited to take a position in CH because of my skills and I fully intend to leave if CHF exchange falls or better opportunity comes along. Call me guest-worker, cause that is what I am.

I encourage you to seek aid of Webster dictionary, when one fails at his own mother tongue.
Cool. Gastarbeiter sounds almost as posh as expat

Must be the first person in history that proudly uses that term in a self description.

My mother tongue is Queens English why would I look in a dictionary from an ex-colony that is clearly incorrect?

Your butthurt is showing.

You have a residence permit so you are an immigrant, suck it up.

Collins English Dictionary (a proper Queens English dictionary); An immigrant is a person who has come to live in a country from some other country.

The United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) immigrant definition is "a person who moves away from his or her place of usual residence, whether within a country or across an international border, temporarily or permanently, and for a variety of reasons."

In recent times in Switzerland the phrase guest-worker/Gastarbeiter was used to bring in "exotic dancers" and similar ladies, usually from Russia, so suddenly "BoredToDeath's" special skills sound more "irresistible"

Actually the bottom is actually about halfway up from the ground, and halfway down from the head.

Not sure if this post is serious.

There are many terms for a person's buttock region.... bottom being one of them

Once you have found a bottom, maybe also start looking for a sense of humour.

Re: Coronavirus

Gastarbeiter originates from the permits that were time restricted. This is what I was allocated in 1981.

Re: Coronavirus

AstraZeneca vaccine had only 131 positives in the unvaccinated group and 30 positives in the vaccines group.

Im guessing the number of positives in the half-Dose sub-sample was so low (low single digits) that it's of very Limited significance.
