In GE night clubs and bars have different rules and different licenses. Opening hours, capacity, etc are regulated differently. Night Club licenses are very difficult to obtain, most of the current ones have a long history. GE would like to get rid of them, but cannot do so.

"Train connections to and from Italy are suspended
The cross-border train connections between Switzerland and Italy will be suspended indefinitely from December 10th due to the corona pandemic. The decision is based on a decree by the Italian government, as the SBB announced on Tuesday." https://www.bluewin.ch/de/news/schwe...en-487796.html | The following 5 users would like to thank Sigh for this useful post:

There was a message from fédéral in last press announcement last week for cantons to take action if their situation was deteriorating. Which is mostly swiss German side, although Bern is not one of the worst. See from site, numbers have been fluctuating.
If you follow what's been loosened in GE, seems there is more sympathy to loosen family gatherings and related to the holidays, if anything. Gyms don't seem to fall in that category.

Numbers and positivity rate increasing and it is only the beginning of the holiday season... | Quote: | | | | | does anyone know when kanton bern will allow the gyms to open up again? | | | | | Current measures until December 16th - I doubt things will change as the numbers in Bern are increasing. I do find it hypocritical that the Xmas markets / temp bars are fully open, but gyms are closed. The healthier alternative should surely be allowed, but I guess there is less money in that. Sorry! I miss the gym very much myself.

Re (per 27 Nov) is estimated at 1.06, with all of German Switzerland higher than that (e.g. ZH = 1.12). Likely that R has increased since.
Number of people hospitalized in ZH is spiking. | This user would like to thank komsomolez for this useful post:

What's the latest views on kids being tested? The canton covid checker is a bit unclear for kids.
One of mine has had a runny nose and a bit sneezy for day or two.. No fever,
Today she claimed to have lost the smell and taste. However when I offered her some Thai fish sauce her face kinda gave the game away, she tasted that for sure.
I'm reluctant to jump straight to testing but same time we don't want to go mixing with people just in case.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but CHUV children's hospital has dedicated testing for children. Maybe give them a call and see what they say. I think testing is by rdv anyhow.

Considering all the alarm in the media about Covid in US, the access death numbers, so far are 15,7%, most of which are people over 80. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/c...ess_deaths.htm
Approximate mortality rate from Covid is under 1,5%
The chance of you dying from Covid if you are under 60 y.o. is less than dying from Heart disease or Cancer.

The chance of you dying from Covid if you are under 60 y.o. is less than dying from Heart disease or Cancer. | | | | | But it‘s not just death, is it? It‘s long covid, it‘s the intensive care and skilled care course of treatment, the isolation of patients. When my mother died of cancer, we cared for her at Home, requiring very little specialized nursing knowledge, no isolation.
I think the alarm is due more to the expenditure of a finite health resource - clinical staff who are exhausted and not easily replaced like an extra ventilator.

And you find this kind of normal? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...liveBlogHeader Covid now leading cause of death in U.S., researchers say
Covid-19 is now the leading cause of death in the United States, researchers at the University of Washington said Friday.
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation said in a briefing that the number of coronavirus-related deaths in the last week, 11,820, "makes COVID-19 the No. 1 cause of death in the United States of America this week."
The virus topped the nation's perennial No. 1 killer, ischemic heart disease, which was said to be responsible for 10,724 deaths in the last week, according to the Washington team.
For the year, Covid-19 was projected to end up in second place, behind ischemic heart disease, researchers said. Tracheal, bronchus and lung cancer was in third place.

Depends on age. You could try calling pediatrician first. The Canton issued guidelines for kids a while back.

Zurich really doesn't care do they?
They have cancelled Sunday shopping after the 24th of December? Is there Sunday shopping after the 24th aside from Zurich HB? This is their answer from federal pressure to take additional measures? pffff | The following 3 users would like to thank Susie-Q for this useful post:
