The odds are firmly in my favour. Plus, it doesn't have any real impact on them, they either know they are in the right for medical reasons or don't give a sh*t about me or anyone else apart from themselves anyway. It's not like I get out a judgment stick and start beating them up.
What if they are medically exempt & have a disability? Surely someone as understanding as you should not jump to conclusions so quickly.

FDA documents show Pfizer COVID vaccine protects after 1 dose

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) documents posted in advance of advisory group consideration of emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine revealed promising new findings, including strong protection after the first dose and protection in groups at risk for disease complications.

I don't confront people not wearing a mask, just fake a sneeze and see them run in disgust.

Hope you don't meet someone who sneezes back

Why not get stuff delivered, COOP is very reliable, then you can self isolate indefinitely to be safe.
I have, also love Le Shop from Migros. Who would have thought Migros online would have a better booze selection than Coop? I need to be better at planning - as sometimes you need a certain fresh vegetable or ingredient that you forgot to order for delivery. I only allow myself to go 1x per week...

On another note, my office started allowing 100 percent of the staff to start coming back in ... most still regularly work from home, but one team in particular has been in since they were training a new employee. This new employee just tested positive for COVID-19...wunderbar.

Re: Coronavirus

So apparently new rules might be coming in that will result in gyms closing at 19.00!!! Whoever came up with this idea is absolutely clueless!

This is going to result in more people trying to get into the gym before closing time. If you close gym 100% then I can see the logic, but not in the earlier closing times!

Agreed - but I guess it limits people who go after work (I am one of those people). Lunch hour will be packed now...in Bern, they are closed completley.

I see gyms as a potential hotspot and I have had to stop going for awhile now since I am at risk. However, as a member of the government, if I had to choose bars over gyms, I would close the bars. My mental health has declined since I have had to stop going to the gym. (It is limited what you can do in winter indoors at home.) Plus, keeping fit is good for the immune system...booze sadly, is not.

Have you not considered investing in a cross trainer ? I got a good one for about 1000 CHF. Unfortunately I think a good treadmill is seriously pricey.

Lot are doing home office so will still go, 17:00 - 19:00 will create overcrowding as many can still make it after work.

I understand that people in risk groups should stay away. The thing is that gyms are actually not too bad. The gym numbers are regulated, everyone is wearing face masks, there are distancing rules in place. The safety concept was backed by Daniel Koch.

I sadly do not have room. I fantasize of having a full home gym someday. I have managed to buy some weights, kettleballs, etc. - but it is hard to get good cardio in unless you are into jumping up and down and doing burpees, which I am not. I live in a medieval building and I am concerned I will break through the floorboard.

I've rediscovered jogging since they closed down my gym. I had forgotten how effective this is at clearing up ones mind, pushing you to run harder to keep warm and the type of moderate-to-intense heartbeat that one can't really achieve with weights only.

British holidaymakers will be barred from the European Union from 1 January under current Covid-19 safety restrictions, with the EU commission indicating there will be no exemption for the UK.

So the trend continues, slightly increasing numbers vs last week(s). The ZH numbers look steeper with +19% vs last week (Dec 9 vs 2) and + 27% vs the low on Nov 26. I am using ZH as proxy for German Switzerland. ZH hospitalizations remain at record highs.

Has the Federal Council actually announced any threshold levels for additional measures which they threaten for Dec 18? The numbers for Dec 18 are essentially defined today, so it is difficult to see how anything would be able to improve by then.

Could be, but for me doing cardio in a closed space is strange, I'd rather be outside. When in the gym, I'd rather do deadlifts, squats and bench presses with lower rep, higher weight which is 100% anaerobic as your heart is unable to push blood/oxygen that fast.
