By locking down entire cities? Or by putting them in quarantine in hospitals which is what we normally do around here.
According to Granny Google...

Quote:
The government's reaction was swift. Martial law was declared on March 16. Measures included cordons sanitaires of villages and neighborhoods, roadblocks, the prohibition of public meetings, closure of borders and prohibition of all non-essential travel. Hotels were requisitioned for quarantines in which 10,000 people who may have been in contact with the virus were held under guard by the army.

Well heres some points to consider

"China’s attempts to curb the disease’s spread — essentially cordoning off the major cities in the province of Hubei, including its capital, Wuhan, a city of 11 million people — are a “public health experiment, the scale of which has not been done before,” said Dr. William Schaffner"

That's because the Coronavirus is man-made.

The Chinese don't want another Racoon City.

Eh? There are multiple forms of Coronavirus, and they include, amongst others, the common cold. Are they all man made, then? Or do you have some inside knowledge of this new one that thre rest of the world is lacking?

My company JUST banned all business trips to China. People who have been to China in the last weeks have been asked to work from home for 14 days after their return date.

I guess cargo isn't affected unless it's carrying people, bats or snakes.

I meant more from us to China and I doubt we send them bats or snakes?

Guess for China it's not really a problem but if a European country would be cut off completely, it would soon have more than "just" a flu problem.

I think the standard procedure is that they just issue a commemorative tea-towel and 50p piece, and reassure everyone that everything's fine via messages on the side of a bus.

Seems to work.

Re: Coronavirus

I was looking in the keller for something today, and find it sad that I was quietly pleased to stumble upon a pair of brand new masks left over from when we were decorating. I guess that's when you know, despite all your protestations to the contrary, that a little nugget of wariness has worked it's way into your head.

Do cargo planes fly themselves without a pilot or crew?
