In London, something approaching herd immunity is pretty much inevitable now. That's one exit strategy. Perhaps not a desirable one!
How long could herd immunity last there, though, with a virus where people lose antibodies after a few months?

Also, if these people will not be receiving the vaccines because they've already had the virus, couldn't that set that herd immunity back once those people lose antibodies?

Have an idea, the test is not conclusive either way.
You may be right. I wish it turned out not to be true, though, it would be the most expensive hoax in the human history considering the costs with lockdown based on numbers we trusted.

News from The Eastern European Front - CZ had the highest number yesterday so far.

17 400 per Tuesday.

All that while strict curfews, lockdown for months. Schools continue to be closed. Shops closed. Same ol' measures kept in place - 2 people allowed out, one only per household to get out for groceries. The country is waiting it out, sick, nothing seems to help.

A good level of Immunity pretty clearly lasts a long time - https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2034545. This has been obvious for ages. See Figure 1 in particular.

I doubt it will determine whether you will get the vaccine or not. Too much admin.

I was thinking MC was advising them to become pregnant, but that might be a bit much for a cold.

I just want their hugs...not milk

I make my own bear milk.

Plus rum. It has to be warm.

You mean I should sleep with a female bear? Get the bear pregnant and then suck her tits in 9 months time? Sounds like a plan. Are there any female bears in ZH Zoo?

Zoo's closed, head to Bern. Then try to pick up a female bear, potentially having you bear a milk bearing bear.

Probably in the ballpark of 20-40% infected by now. Gonna be a long old slog - that level of herd effect does mean you get more bang for your buck for each vaccination though.

Also found here, natural immunity lasts at least 6 months, likely to be much longer than that too.

Thanks. The last I had heard or read, it was about 3 months. So I guess now they're mostly saying 5 to 7 months. Perhaps some of that also depends on one's viral load. I remember reading that when someone has a higher viral load, they end up developing more antibodies (compared to someone with a low viral load).

Seem pretty flat to me, still expecting they could take off at anytime like they have in the UK and Ireland thanks to the new mutation.

Not singling out our goat herder - but I get the impression lots of people don't really want to get confirmation as they don't want to stay 100% at home for 10 days.
LOL I haven't left my home in 6 days - must be a record. If the weather were nice, I would definitely be out doing some sport or walking...but meh.

What is this goat herder inside joke that I am not aware of?
