| | Re: Coronavirus | Quote: | | | | | Finally my wish has come true! No standing on my skis in the queue. | | | | | I was at St George today and people were quite well behaved standing side on, skis parallel ..
I gave a couple of people a mouthful for trying to cut in .. "Oh i didn't realise.." What you thought these 50 people are standing here, sideways, 1.5m apart for fuxing fun..
It's not exactly Zermatt up there but for 30.- for me and the kids, friendly staff, easy parking and 5 mins drive from home.. It's just great.

She has essential hypertension and had no idea about it being contraindicated until then and has not taken Sudafed since.
Ive never taken neocitran but figured it must be for the same reason so I looked up the ingredients.

Just wanted to say that magnesium is apparently good for reducing blood pressure, or so studies have found: https://www.livescience.com/55355-ma...-pressure.html |

I naturally have low blood pressure and if I take too much magnesium for too long then my BP drops to where I can get dizzy spells. My doctor told me to eat something salty to bring my BP back up again.

Yesterday worldometers shows the US with 260,000 new cases and 4,100 deaths. | | | | | That's shocking. I actually did a double-take on that. 260,000 is 0.078% of the population, or 0.78 per thousand. We've heard that one in 1,000 Americans alive at 01.01.2020 have died from COVID-19, and that 1.7% of identified cases of COVID-19 in the USA have been fatal. If those numbers persist (and statistically, they should not, thankfully), yesterday's figures suggest a future death rate about five times that experienced to date!

Over 0.1% of the population. Similar to most of Western Europe, CH included.

Over 0.1% of the population. Similar to most of Western Europe, CH included. | | | | | No, the 260,000 that marton quotes is new cases in the US in a single day. (About 370,000 people in total have died from COVID-19 in the US.)
My post is about applying historical mortality rates as a percentage of cases identified and as a percentage of population, to extrapolate a future death rate from COVID-19 (with lots of caveats).

"Mutant strain spreads: 46 cases already confirmed in laboratory
The number of occurrences of the new variant among the sample of tests analyzed increases. Vaud and Geneva are, a priori, the cantons most concerned.
The FOPH indicates that it is the canton of Vaud that detected the most cases (12), followed by Geneva (10) and Zurich (7) and Valais (6). The total is 46 with occurrences in ten cantons and in Liechtenstein." https://www.20min.ch/fr/story/la-sou...e-164379334300 | The following 2 users would like to thank Sigh for this useful post: | |
