He (at least claimed) to have left Switzerland before the enforced period of quarantine, so he did not break instructions according to his narrative at least.

Although the Bund commented that there is a legal requirement to give notice of a quarantine it doesn't actually mean that you are free to leave and that technically he broke federal law. However, I would agree it's a moot point and he clearly didn't intend to break the law despite his rather entitled comments in the British press.

Father has just died, and mother on her way out- in their 80s, so very different.. 45 year old sister, mother of 2, hanging by a thread. So out of respect, signing off EF and the petty , constant, personal attacks by a few. Enough.

Swiss population >65 yrs old: 1.6 million. I would guess in that group 60% should be willing to be vaccinated. A long way to go.

What they actually mean is: today's total deaths - yesterday's total deaths = 53.

It’s how they do it. Due to the way the cantons report their numbers the info is never totally up to date.

The daily numbers are always
Total number of deaths on day Y minus total number of deaths on day Y-1 which gives the increase in deaths.
Those deaths didn’t necessarily occur on that day, they may have occurred several days ago but have only been reported by the canton on that day.

If you look at the detailed graphs on the site you will see the orange bits at the top of the bars, that’s the data that has been added retrospectively.

That’s why the 7 day rolling average is a better indicator of the situation.

I know by heart little details matter, but I'm amazed at how hard to see and tackle are little details. Depending on the syringe, covid19 vaccine vials contain 5 or 6 doses. By using low dead-volume syringes vaccine supply increases 20%.

People has been working like crazy the last year to get develop and mass produce the vaccine and a tiny component in the supply chain can make a 20% difference, mind blown
