It's only a matter of time. Once the acronyms got past LGBTQ+, I got confused and tended to wander down the MG BGT route. My head's already stuffed to the brim with acronyms for airlines, countries, airports and GAL entries. There's precious little room left in the owd noggin for any more acronyms. I do try to keep up with it all, but I was reading about aromantics the other day....

Till 4 years ago, I still thought that LOL stood for Lots of Love...until my children raised an eyebrow in despair and explained that the whole world was not full of love, as I naively thought.

I do wonder whenever that vote changed anything for minorities .. did it do actually something to make "you" feel part of swiss culture , environment or else ?

let me know ...

If they still choose to be "private and discreet" as it was being advocated here by our Mod always at the centre of all discussions, I'm guessing it didn't change anything?

But who knows. There's a reason you probably won't find out, perhaps.

I miss McTavge's calmness and kindness. I hope his daughter is doing well and shook off that/those experiences.
Perhaps she learned to be discreet.

Sorry but why should she? She has the same right to express her identity as the rest of us.

OK, in reality I know what you are saying but it remains a sad indictment on society that you feel the need to say it. At least the referendum result showed most people are not so stupidly prejudiced.

Re: In support of my gay daughter...

I was at a spa last week, and some couples really should learn to be discreet. A hug and a kiss is fine- but some were full on massive snogs, and a couple next to me on the lie-on jacuzzi were on top of each other and rolling around with full body action. Enough - I have no objection to their sex life and hope they enjoy every minute of it- but I don't want to share, thanks.

And yes, it did make me wonder. No-one said anything, and the pool wardens ignored too- what would have happened if it was a same sex couple? So - discreet- well, yes, a bit of respect for others would not go amiss.

On the other hand, no screaming children. Couples that overshare win. Wait a min....adults only hotels are like this.

I think you know the answer. Discreet in this context makes sense.
