I don't know how to upload a video from my PC to EF, I have tried in the past, it has never worked.
Then you’ll have to organise an event IRL!

Is IRL another form of LOL? Remember, I belong to the 19th century...occasionally I turn to a 17th century Scottish warrior! I don't do abbreviations!

In real life

And I’m a medieval literature specialist: abbreviations were common in manuscripts to gain space. Admittedly not the same abbreviations than today, but still

Having now replayed the video umpteen times, have to thank you. There are times when it’s easy to loose faith when living in Switzerland.

And then there are times (usually when I’m out of the country, or have just landed home) when I’m just again reminded about, and feel proud of my chosen home country. And my belonging in it.

This video, with it’s wonderful music, has certainly taken me out of my usual viewing, and has renewed my faith about living in Switzerland.

Thank you.

This is another one we did in Brig. It is about dawn on Lake Geneva, completely still, not a ripple on the water but suddenly the lonely soul standing by the water feels a shiver, hears a sweet murmur and thinks with melancholy of his mountains back in Wallis, whose shape is cut like lace in the sky...

You'd think when in Geneva you're thousands of miles away from home for someone from Wallis, but that's the message of the song anyway.

Any tissues left, Zurirollt?

I shall give you another clue: I am one of the "younger ones" (i.e. less than 100 years old!!) and I have a deep voice although I can do the high pitch yodels, too, as on the first video. Not more than that, I am a teacher...imagine all these Geneva parents pestering me after school for an autograph afterwards!

And for you my friends on the other side of the Röstigrabe who don't understand French, here's one we did in Swiss-German, "S'alti Lied". Then I am posting a "lively" solo one by your humble McTAVGE, when he's alone in the mountains and finished his flask of Whisky.

The music is beautiful. You’re all very talented. It’s not what I expected from yodeling. How many parts to the harmony? Really a lovely sound, thank you for sharing.
