Cmon, Tom. Not a fan of Pepsi?

Or are you filling your daily groan quota?

You could do push ups or squats instead! Burns the Coke calories the best, I've heard.

By the time I could drink from a glass, the parents had already banned it for kids.

*Ooops, no you can't have. It was first advertised in 1886.
And after the world-war they apparently called it occupant sherbet (Besatzerbrause). In Germany, I suspect.

Dr Pepper all the way for me. Coke second, won't touch Pepsi any more.

I can't do Dr. Pepper at all. In fact I probably have two sips of pop a year.

Hate it.

Much prefer Coke, Dr.Pepper, or Root Beer, but haven't had any of those in years.

Red wine for me!

You'll need more squats!

Back to the 'Ok, Boomer' nonsense, though. Has anyone told the kids that "Don't trust anyone over 30" actually comes from mid-sixties? So. Fake news.

Why? The same people are still over 30 - if still alive.

ok, so there seems to be some confusion what 'boomer' means,

according to the Dictionary its

"a person born in the years following the Second World War, when there was a temporary marked increase in the birth rate."

"Baby Boomers: Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. They're current between 55-75 years old"

so kids, when you're trying to use it as an insult to someone older, and wiser than you, maybe bare that in mind, on this forum there will be very few boomers, kids of boomers - yes.

(and yes, I'm to young to be a boomer)
The boomers are the only ones with some intelligence remaining

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

Yep.
Then again, I had contempt for authority (still do) but showed that by ignoring it.

As to 'are now tyrants' - did you live through the time, when anti-authoritarian education was popular? Thankfully it was very short - not even the convinced parents lasted long.

Re: Boomer - meaning

It's just a meme! And unfortunately if you're not aware of that, then it automatically makes you a boomer-zoomer (Source: my teenage daughter and her friends). You're also a boomer if there are any tik tok songs you're not familiar with. I'm technically a millennial but bc I don't know all the tik tok songs I've been branded a boomer. When I protested my label just got upgraded to boomer zoomer hah

I have discovered via this thread that I am a baby boomer (1960). I loved your comment above. It really seems to fully demonstrate the difference between our generations. I barely understand a word of it
