Boomer - meaning

ok, so there seems to be some confusion what 'boomer' means,

according to the Dictionary its

"a person born in the years following the Second World War, when there was a temporary marked increase in the birth rate."

"Baby Boomers: Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. They're current between 55-75 years old"

so kids, when you're trying to use it as an insult to someone older, and wiser than you, maybe bare that in mind, on this forum there will be very few boomers, kids of boomers - yes.

(and yes, I'm to young to be a boomer)

What comes after Boomers, Gloomers, Doomers, or Mooners?

Anyway, anyone who uses the term boomer is clearly an immature Troll who is off his meds.

I think it refers to the generation that screwed up the world with greed and big fuel guzzling motors. Sort of like a Gammon or a Clarkson. *ducks* and grabs coat.

I think that most people here with "big fuel guzzling motors" are far too young to be boomers. ;)

I know that if anybody were so stupid to call me "boomer" I would do the blood eagle, I would rip his spine out and give it to my granddaughter as a rattle.

I think boomer is seen as a mindset. Hence the term 'boomerish'

I think that's the generation after......

Baby Boomers are the ones who had it easy apparently - low cost houses to buy - jobs at every corner, no University fees, big pension pots etc.

Having lived through all that it certainly was not easy - couldn't afford to buy a house for ages - and certainly no big pension pot either ..
