Can you wear an Animal Rights t-shirt at least, next time in the Inn? Will go so well with your docs and skirt!

But anyone that thinks they can change their man is deluded, I'm afraid. We can be good at pretending to change, but underneath it we're the same as we ever were. | | | | | What are you on here? I've seen changed men!!! They exist. Are you saying they only pretend?
On a more serious note, I was kidding....
But I do know men who have changed a little, or more than a little, because of/ due to their partners. Women too.

It's called "making concessions", negotiating, surviving in a relationship, whatever you want to call it. This does not mean you are a changed person...an adaptable one, more like. | The following 7 users would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post: | |

Maybe it might not have that much to do with one's partner but with marriage/relationship itself, people getting older and wiser, you know, life happens and it shapes us.
McTavge, I would have stayed a bit longer. After a non-diplomatic beginning she could have turned out to be a lovely or at least an interesting companion? You already ordered your food, had nothing to lose.
Maybe it was a test? See how strong your sense of humour is and how can you turn a weird dialogue into an interesting one? Or how easily scared by her convictions. Most probably I'm far, far away from what was happening there, but would like to think people mean well, even if they're being totally weird at times.

But I DID stay the whole meal! And after for coffee and Schnapps! And we did end having a lovely time after this rather awkward beginning. I just did not invite her back home afterwards...not ready for this next step yet! I have a hard shell around my heart now and it's going to take one special person to get through it.
And before some EF even comment, no, I don't do "just shags"!

It addresses the very subject above and it’s a lesson one doesn’t forget.
@McTavge, in the video which one is you?

Just don't think our mission in life is to change anyone, everybody is responsible for their own progress. I wouldn't give the control over that to anyone. Nor would I want any smartpants to "improve" me.
Or, there may be ways, Odile mention some, in her....sagesse. | Quote: | | | | | Too "young" to be a "Boomer"! | | | | | I know. Just wanted you to stop talking like a grampa and put you in an action mode!
Besides, you said you are honest..and then you say the next step is to tell her about yodel?? You're making no sense. Forget the fake modesty bs and yodel her softly "bonsoir, chérie" right the 1st minute! She will forget about your steak.
And, no hankie (sorry, Lib). Corona times.

Plus the fact that tough times, like a divorce, makes one stronger. Without realizing it, one is not ready to date again.

Because it was founded by workers from Bern in 1918 who were called up to replace in Geneva factories all the French, Italian and German workers who had died fighting each other for their countries during WW1. It had left big gaps into the Geneva workforce. And all these Berner were terribly homesick so they created this Jodelklub and Alphüttli made them think of their Berneroberland. The Geneva costume was in fact a Bern one till it was decided in the 1970s there were enough non Bern folks to have its own Geneva costume.
