Re: EF Community Corona Helpline

I am in Zurich and am very willing to shop, walk pets/dogs or do errands for those in need. I do not have a car but I live in 8032 if that helps.

Please see my new post in "Items Wanted", here. I'm reposting it in this thread, too, because it is help that I need, please, related to Corona, and would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm a totally bored housewife in Oberwil, Zug. Happy to help out too. I can cook/bake, clean, and I'm mean with power tools. Ikea furniture beware! Not too good with kids though, I tend to roar and bite whenever possible.

Based in Basel and happy to help those in need with things like grocery shopping (cos that's really the only shopping option right now!), picking up medication, dog walking etc. I speak English and German.

Just let me know if you or someone you know needs help. I'm based in 4055 but have bike and can travel .. within reason (which kind of means BS and BL), I'm not that super fit :-).

I'm able to help anyone out in Basel who's stuck due to Corona.

Grocery shopping (like we have a choice of other kinds of shopping!), picking up medicines, dog walking are things which spring to mind first.

If anyone needs a hand, or knows anyone who needs a hand, let me know.

Re: EF Community Corona Helpline

Hi, I am living in Rheinfelden, and am currently doing home office for the next month at least. I would be happy to either temporarily foster a small dog (I live in an apartment without garden) or take for daily walks for any elderly who should not be outside or for anyone who is currently sick. I have my own dog, however he is in Hungary being looked after by my partner, and now with the borders shut, I cannot get him back. I love dogs and I am happy to help if needed.

Re: EF Community Corona Helpline

I'm in Basel Stadt and have a car if anyone needs help with anything at the weekends or evenings - maybe even during the day if I can set up my life-size cardboard cut-out wearing a frown of concentration in front of the work web-cam.
I also bought a few of my tools when I moved over so can offer some electrical, carpentry or plumbing help (assuming I can still remember) or just an extra head to tackle any thorny problems
If no help needed I may just use the car to make an escape bid.

Re: Coronavirus, People in need of help when moving, or need pickups

To be fair, people still need carpentry work performed, particularly repairs. As it is more difficult at the moment to purchase parts and materials to carry out a repair on one's own, why not still offer this service?

Hi,

Well I saw a few posts of people that are in urgent need of having a bed for example, but yes I can still do the carpentry and repairs. If someone requires. Thanks for the head up and thought.

Re: EF Community Corona Helpline- Local brewery needs help!

Hi guys..

I live i Oerlikon and can help anyone who needs help... just ask.

On the other hand your local brewery needs your help! We are are a 4 man-show, built up the business over 20 years, now we really need you.

Support your local brewery with an online beer order.

We need your help in the coming weeks, more than ever in the 20 year history of the Bier Factory, due to the Coronavirus and its sudden impact on our planned events, festivals and gastro customers closures.

Good news! We have fresh beer ready to deliver to you from our online webshop. Every 24-Pack helps!

Well ship anywhere in Switzerland, or deliver the beer to your home if you live near the brewery. (Rapperswil-Jona area)

Please stay healthy and follow the guidelines imposed by the Swiss government.

Your support is appreciated.

Hi All,

I have a sensitive question so I ask with respect and only as info on net is sketchy. My Dads health is worrying (not Covid related). What is the situation to fly back to UK from Switzerland?

If you're a UK national and can get a flight you should be okay. If not, then no chance I think.

I think you mean you live here, and your dad lives in the UK (not in Switzerland) and you want to go to visit him in the UK.

In that case, before you leave Switzerland, make sure you've all the papers with you, that you'll need to return to Switzerland, after your visit. That is: either Swiss nationality or a Swiss permit to live here. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to re-enter Switzerland.
