Vive l'apocalypse!

Not knowing if today would be our village inn's last opening day before restrictions get even worse, the British community (8!) rallied, ordered all the stocks of Whisky, beer and wine (this is called giving an economic boost to your local industry!) and god did we use up the whole repertoire of Scottish and Irish ballads, rude songs in French and of course Swiss yodels! All the Swiss were joining in, laughing and crying at the same time, relieved that the "mad" Brits were here to lighten up the mood a little...and I've got a date again with C.! What's not to like about these times of crisis?!

And my neighbours downstairs and to the right, both divorcees and singles, are scared and have asked me to join them to share a bottle of white wine...This is getting better and better, this lock down situation!

Re: Vive l'apocalypse!

Stay at home, greatly reduced social interaction, a well stocked beer fridge and empty motorbike roads. If this is the apocalypse then bring it on.

I might not be 20 anymore, but this tape measure is most definitely too small to measure up passion!

Re: Vive l'apocalypse!

Well the apocalypse is really starting to bite, looks like our company will be on Kurzarbeit in a few days and a visit to the local Aldi was an eyeopener, I have never seen an Aldi so empty, all bread gone, all veggies and fruit gone and only a bit of mystery meat in the fridges and freezers. But enough bog roll to make an entire puppy farm happy though.

Re: Vive l'apocalypse!

Great, all Sales and office staff have been sent to "Home office" and now our Rechenzentrum in Berlin has melted down.
So much for home office.

PS. Just got a mail that all company branches using the SIP trunk telephones are now offline.

Are you serious? How unbelievably irresponsible of you. This is the reason this virus continues to spread, because this kind of behaviour continues.

Re: Vive l'apocalypse!

The stupidity is that they were all so proud that they did that and made a thread about it. Now if someone had it in there, probably 30-40 people got infected and will go and create their own clusters, bringing it home to their families.

Unbelievably stupid...thank god for Brexit so we won't have to put up with them for long.

It should be blindly obvious by now, but if someone in that building had the virus, there's a good chance they spread it to others in that building, who will now potentially go and spread it to more. His little party has put lives at risk. Don't trivialise the seriousness of selfish, irresponsible actions like this by saying "why not enjoy it".

He follows the " herd " theory. EF will probably remove all UK members now after Brexit

Re: Vive l'apocalypse!

There were 8 people. I don't think they've caused the downfall of humanity. Unless there were actually 8! people at the event, I think the police might paid attention, it would be hard to hide all 40320 of them.
