Groceries - Coop - Prodega (professionals only store)

Coop owns Prodega (a professionals only market a bit like Aligro). They have decided to open the stores to individuals given the current circumstances. This is the FR email I received from Coop last night and a Google translation. Here is the link for the store locations: https://www.transgourmet.ch/de/abholen/maerkte

Here is the message (FR first then translated Google EN):

Due to the current situation, we are expanding our sales capacity as a Coop group and temporarily opening our Prodega markets to individuals. You now have the possibility of making your purchases also in all Prodega markets. Please observe the following points: From Monday to Friday until 11:00 a.m., access to the markets is restricted to Prodega customers only. Every day from 11 a.m. as well as on Saturday all day long, access is guaranteed to you as an individual. The prices displayed at Prodega are net prices, the amount of VAT appears on the invoice. Tobacco is not sold to individuals. The following payment methods are accepted: cash, direct EC, V Pay, Postcard. Credit cards are not accepted. Remember to bring one of the following documents: identity card or driving license. As a Supercard member, you can also present yourself with your Supercard.

We've got one near us, my daughter is a member as she is doing a chef apprenticeship.

The current circumstances being all their catering customers have deserted them due to the restaurant closures and they need to shift stock....

Good to know. We have one not too far away. Not seen an e-mail myself, but might come through to hubby; not sure which of us is the main Supercard holder with Coop.

It also might be a question of whether you signed up for their email blasts with their weekly offers.

Since I have to go to Lsne this afternoon I might drop by the one in Crissier to pick up one thing that Aligro no longer stocks. And to check out what else they have on offer. Maybe some toilet paper.

Re: Groceries - Coop - Prodega (professionals only store)

We got the same email yesterday. I might give it a shot next week. There is a TopCC very close to us, and I like that for a lot of things, not least that it is a large store and easy to keep distance.

Also, my husband’s name is on our coop card, but all the mail comes addressed to me, so who knows how that will work.

No, don't get those since I get the newspaper instead.

That was my conclusion too after getting their email. With restaurants closed, they have a lot of food approaching its expiration date.....but solidarity is what motivated them to give access to everyone, not only members

Just to highlight the most important detail: bring cash, or debit cards (Post, Maestro, Visa).

Since they do not accept credit cards and from their message, I would not count on them accepting a VISA debit card.

I would stay with the list they have given. Cash, direct EC, V Pay, Postcard.

Hopefully this option may help someone in the EF community find something they need.

Also, CC-Aligro is now open to the general public after 11 am each day and Top:CC will be open to the general public starting next week, according to Blick:
