Shopping abroad and Corona Virus

Is it currently permitted to shop abroad?

DIY shops closed in Switzerland just as I needed plumbing bits to install a washing machine. Seems they are open in France and Germany.

I actually thought that it was okay. I had a delivery from the United States arrive two days ago (from vitacost.com), but maybe restrictions have changed since then? I also had something come from the UK a few days ago as well.

I think he means physically crossing the border into either France in Germany to buy what he needs.
This is not allowed at the moment.

Online shopping is fine but delivery times might be longer than normal.

I don't think they are. I noticed the one closest to home on my way to the dentist yesterday, doors closed, although there were some staff there. so it may be that they're open for emergency needs. It's the same place that delivers my fuel oil, which I ordered some of recently, so the business is still operatnig at some level.

You might have to hire a plumber. Or wait a few weeks... months...

You can order online from Hornbach.

Here's a handy link to their page of washing machine fitting parts
