| | Flew out without my B Permit!
Hi
I took a quick flight back to the Uk for a week as I had holiday time booked and everything is in lockdown, but in my rush forgot my B Permit.
I happen to have a letter from the Rav as I need to be back for the 1st April for my first interview, so will this do, with an emailed rental contract, job contract?
If not, what next?

In your favour: They probably have more time available per client these days. | The following 3 users would like to thank curley for this useful post: | |

It will depend on whether or not the airline agree to board him for a start...

Your employer should have a copy of your permit. Can you ask them to send you a copy?

I have a folder on my phone / iPad which has high resolution copies of all my import documents. Passports, Swiss ID, Driver’s license, Health Insurance Card, Credit Cards.
But as Jim points out above, your biggest challenge is to get the airline to accept you without the required documents. Airlines get big fines for bringing in inadmissible passenger, plus they have to remove you including, if necessary offloading a passenger on the return flight. Because it can be so expensive the airlines instruct their ground handlers to make no exceptions.
I recommend you contact the airline and find out from them if the documents you have are adequate for their purposes.
Good luck.

Seriously contact the airline and ask them what documents you need. And ask them to put a note in the PNR that you’ve discussed this with them.
Anything that can be downloaded from the internet can be forged, quite easily.

Good luck. | | | | | That.
Call the airline and offer to email all the other documentation that you have with you or on email. When you speak to them, make a note of the time, date and the name of the agent you spoke to. Ask that agent to put notes into your booking and then stay on the call whilst they read those notes back to you. Airline agents are getting back to back calls at the moment, so the second you hang up, they get another call through automatically and might not have time to complete the notes in your booking.
If you have any issue at the airport, advise them that you spoke to this person on this date and they've put notes in the booking.
Good luck.

Switzerland immigration services (according to RTS news today 15:00) have turned back 16'000 people up to Saturday and 5'000 of them in the last two days as they have started shutting down the borders. It did not mention if this was just border crossings or also airports.
If you are hoping to get back into CH, I would try to do so in the next couple of days or your risk of being refused (even with a permit) will go up exponentially. You do not mention if you are single. If so, your chances are even lower since you can stay in the UK without any downside for a family structure in CH.

The majority is most likely at the land border crossings. This is because the airlines know better than to accept someone with inadequate documentation.
It IS your responsibility to have the correct documents, even if the rules are changed at the last moment.

A friend only had a copy of her residence permit. Was due to fly Friday Gatwick to Zurich. Easy Jet refused to fly her. Even though copy of permit should be ok.
Flew the next day EasyJet Gatwick to Geneva
Friend had to pay for hotel herself.

They always have to wait as the immigration authorities have been know to reject people even if the ground staff have checked you.
They are fined for every rejection, so they will be very careful.

Why should a copy be OK, it is not exactly rocket science to alter a copy....
