I've been studying the map to work out where I'm going to go over Easter

Balkon's nice this time of year.
Have you thought about knocking that wall out between balcony and living room?
You would have to do it now though, no building-site-noise allowed over Easter.

I hope to be taking a much needed break, heading out to Balkonia.(Thanks, Roegner! )

Office dogsbody, domestic goddess, short order cook, chief procurement officer, mental health therapist, manager-of-expectations and keeper-of-the-peace - this 'doing nothing' thing has left me exhausted. I have not had a moment to myself since we started isolating. My dream of plowing through my list of unread Great Books, basking in the glow of (finally) organised closets remains but an impossible dream.

A day of doing nothing - actually doing nothing - on the balcony sounds like pure heaven right now.
Thanks, meloncollie. I can relate to your post.

A couple of weeks ago I was so naive to believe I can finally read the pile of books that kept growing (buying books is my own kind of therapy ) and didn't have time to even take a look at some of them.

Yes, this "doing nothing" left me exhausted. Time to desconnect for a while so I can clear some mental space. After I'll make a pile of pancakes of course, order from my kids...

Nice idea but if I did that I don't think I'd get my deposit back. The landlord might object a bit.

I hear you loud and clear....it is similar here hubby off sick on doctors orders 'til end of May at least (non-corona related) and one, sometimes really moody student at home since Uni closed, miffed at not being able to see his boyfriend.

The upside, I had help prepping the vegetable garden and caring for the lawn and can delegate walking the dog to hubby so that i get some hookery time

I now have booked an extensive stay on the Islas Terrassas over Easter and declared today upon returning from shopping, that I won't lift a finger over Easter, with exception to cooking our dinners.

OK, this is for you then: resist!

It's official, corona pandemic has a song. (at least 5 friends have redirected it to me in the last days) In some hospitals back home nurses are listening to it when they have a moment of "respiro" (no pun intended).
I imagine folks speak some Spanish here - with all those holidays and properties abroad...

It sounds like a Eurovision entry

For those learning Spanish, here's a great list of grammatical forms in this song, and explanations, in English.

Agreed- although someone is talking about going to Cinque Terre- not quite the same.

And some sites in CH will be CLOSED and monitored. If you go to Creux-du-Van - and there is a crowd as per last week-end, distancing is not an option- a high limestone wall on one side, and oblivion on the other (yes, a young dad died last year in front of his wife and young children - taking a selfie )
Creux de Van and Gorge de l’areuse have been closed ( or at least all the parking areas have) until at least April 19th.

Easter is going to drive me nuts. We have the only apartment in the building with no balcony which at the time wasn't a deal breaker for us. Now that there's a pandemic and it's sunny weather I'm becoming jealous of all the neighbours
Don't be..juts make a seat at your open window, I sit on my giant amp, the windows opened wide, it is nice, loads of people do it and balconies are rare in our historical buildings here. Just don't fall out.

We should start an EF ghetto sunbathing photo contest.

Yeah, a rather repetitive song about a woman who can't take no for an answer.
But blimey, does it stick as an earworm. I checked it earlier and not even hoovering got it off my mind yet.
