Feeling a bit down today.

I'm grateful for my sweet cat Oliver who we rescued from the streets of downtown Dallas 13 years ago. He's slowly leaving this world (renal failure) and I keep reminiscing through all the wonderful memories and life's challenges we have faced together. Grateful to be at home during this time spending these last precious moments with him. Grateful for the recent abundant sunshine that has given him needed warmth and happiness.
Really feel for you - I am sure he is grateful that you can share precious time with him too..

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Grateful for fab young friends, met on EF but no longer active here- who bring us shopping twice a week and stay for a while in front of the house, with the children, so we can have a giggle and a good natter - keeping distance. Wonderful and heart warming indeed.

For yoghurt.

For sharing with people.

For smiles of those we care for.

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Oh yougurt- yes, they also bring us their homemade yogurt - and we are using the homemade jams other people have given up last few months in exchange for plants. Amazing.

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Today my gratitude goes to organizers of events who take zero credit.

I am thankful for having a good time line of de-confinement, precious info.

And for helpful friends here and across the time zones.

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Today early morning, my thanks go to students who are getting ready.

To neighbors making lovely musical noises.

To friends and family from all over the world keeping touch.

To anyone who puts out extra effort to be reliable and trustworthy.

To a sound health.

To all creatives.

To ethical beings with intact integrity.

And for mangoes.

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Grateful that whilst I'm so busy with work, my OH swings by my home office around 8 every morning with toast and a huge glass of water. And around 7 every evening, my OH swings by my home office with a beer or glass of wine, reminding me to finish up for the day.

Grateful that the Hornbach and other DIY stores opened yesterday - I hope it continues.

Also grateful for the current rain to keep the pollen at bay, and the chance for a day off from hayfever meds. My garden is grateful for the rain as well!

I am grateful for you!

I do hope that those gloomy worries of couples disintegrating because of the confinement were wrong and it glues people more together, xo

Now as per pollen - I don't get it. Never had allergies, except now. And it doesn't go away when it rains, arnaque! Thankful for the rain, anyways.

Yes, rain. Grateful for rain to water everything, wash away all the pollen.

And I have 3 days off in between my language class segments.

Grateful for antihistamines!

Littlest Rs glorious thighs.
The curls in her hair.
Her woosh of delight when swung in the air.

Little R's imagination and her stubbornness.

Jazz documentaries on Netflix. Fabulous. This is the music i grew up on and it gives me fond memories. But also reminds me that racism is pervasive.

Meat pies ... best ones I've eaten in Europe, and made by a guy just around the corner from where I live!

I bought the butter chicken, BBQ pulled pork, and beef & Guinness pies. He has plenty of other varieties, including about half a dozen veg options.

Lovely.

I’m grateful because April is almost over, it’s felt like the longest month ever.

Where were we. Today I am grateful for the horrible but wet weather, the rain was needed.

For a fab conference with people who were very poignant, their jokes included.

For a good momentum.

Please share details - I'm salivating at the very thought of a decent meat pie. I swear I haven't had a decent one since I holidayed in Australia years ago!

Re: The April Attitude of Gratitude

Thankful that my nearest and dearest all have stayed healthy until now and are in fine fettle!

Very thankful about the much needed rain, garden looks almost transformed

Thankful to everyone of my friends and family who fwd to me the mini seed packs from Migros, my garden will look like a rainbow this year

Thankful that despite , so far 7 week lockdown together with the Pirate and Kid3 we haven't murdered each other....yet! Actually , we have grown together and our teamwork regarding the chores etc is second to none....but I do crave some alone, quiet time.....with everybody at home all the time, I am on a different kind of alertness and quite tense (any Deafie will know what I mean)
