| | He's back!
Not the Covid 19, it hasn't left, yet, but your humble, yodelling servant! First, I want to thank the few EF members who wrote to me personally out of concern, this was really uplifting. I did endure a chemo which is now coming to an end and this, combined with confinement on my own away from my kids, virtual teaching...it all took out a lot of my time and energy. But the good news is that all my test results are bloody fantastic, showing quite remarkable recovery and I didn't tell them I had a wee dram of Whisky every night to cheer me up, as I don't think I was meant to. But it certainly didn't do any harm!
A nice Coronovirus story for you: first week into lock down, I helped the local primary school teacher who felt overwhelmed with all the virtual classrooms as it looks like they are only NOW receiving proper training! So, obviously, she was impressed with my technological skills (which are non existent - see other threads - but even a dummy like me can cope with Google Classroom, yeaaah!) and she asked me to do a "distance walk" in the woods with her... I don't know if it's the kilt that had this effect on her, but I'm a gentleman and won't give details (even if you beg me!), but let's say romance is blossoming nicely (and cautiously, although distance rules were not always met!).
Add to this some rather flirtatious messages from one of my yodel colleagues and some rather forthcoming exchanges with my two divorcee neighbours who treat me like I'm the last man on Earth standing (must be confinement fever, they're all going crazy - that or they've mixed my chemo with some love potion!)... you now know why I REALLY focused my energy off screen!
And tonight, despite a difficult day with chemo, I had promised my neighbours that I would do a candle-lit ghost story telling for the neighbourhood kids, outside on the (now reclaimed) street and car park. So, all dressed up as a 19th century Highway man, face painted in white, top hat, Victorian cape, the lot, I kept those kids' full attention OFF screen for a full two hours. They were in awe and now all want to go to Scotland on holiday, as soon as confinement is over. It was lovely and yes, every kid was at least 4 meters apart, which means I have no voice left!
Nice to be back. What have I missed?

Is it a Swiss tradition? While I understand the Easter Bunny might have been busy over the Easter Week-end and this might explain the delay, I found in front of my door this evening a chocolate bunny...and a pack of Durex condoms! A bit tricky to ask the neighbours if they're involved in this! | The following 4 users would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:

If you've never received such a gift before, you may now exhale, then pat yourself on the back because you've finally been accepted as belonging here.

I now know what to hide in my neighbours' flower pots for Easter next year...and it'll be hell of a lot cheaper than artisan chocolates! | The following 2 users would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:

Besides, I am still waiting for those dozens Spacex satelites to make many wishes.
How is your ménage ŕ 4 developing? Still livin' on the edge, in Corona times?

Well done on getting through chemo, I was there in 2006/07 (also radiotherapy) and know how much of an endurance test it can be, so you have my utmost respect. Stay well | The following 4 users would like to thank Cherub for this useful post:
