| With working from home being a longer term reality, I was wondering whether I ought to get a more comfortable chair.
Then the idea hit me whether a gaming chair would be good? After all, if a chair was designed for people to sit in and play games comfortably for hours on end, maybe it would also be suitable for work?
Anyone have a gaming chair and can offer an opinion on whether this would be a good idea? Any recommendations or chairs or alternatives to gaming chairs? | |

Been there done that! I settled for an office chair mainly because it was fit for purpose. Office chairs are usually designed ergonomically with materials to support your spine and joints for longer periods - day in and day out.
I flirted with the idea of a gaming chair since I love flight sims and do spend a fair bit of time gaming. However, settled for a rather pricey office chair to be on the side of comfort and proper postures.
A friend of mine recently herniated a disc in lower lumbar area and he was of the view that long sitting hours with improper posture was the main culprit.
